Root [ROM]Cyanogen Mod 6 Nightly

Thanks, I'm looking into it now... I found another issue that seems to almost be a deal breaker for me... no cut and paste?!?! Is this resolvable? I'm talk'n about the updated C&P that has te nice handles and all??!?!

Not sure, I know the stock cut & paste we're used to on the Evo was an HTC thing. But surely froyo has cut & paste, no?

i flashed tonights version and all my previous complaints were solved. really fast scrolling. browser and messaging are working great. the only problem now is after putting all apps onto my sd card, i'm not able to put up any widgets. any ideas guys?

I read somewhere, (can't remember which forum or specific thread) widgets get fussy when stored on the SD. I'm not sure if this is a problem related to froyo itself or CM6.

where's a good place to follow Evo specific CM6 updates?

Cyanogen's Nightly Builds - Android Central Forums

it'll have a link to the latest update and an unofficial change log.... however the 7242010 build was working fine and then boom 24 hours go by and my SD card starts to act weird and then it claims failure!!! Luckly I had my SD card backup on my desktop. I decided to try the latest update and now my touch screen is practically dead! Good Luck...

I had been holding off on installing a Froyo ROM, and when I finally decide to do it, there's Cyanogen et al to the rescue. I flashed this ROM first thing this morning after getting to work, and aside from not being able to download certain apps from the app store, I'm completely satisfied and I won't ever be going back to 2.1. I'm also apparently immune to most of the bugs that some are reporting. Bluetooth connection to Sync in my truck works great, as well as wifi.

On a side note, I had been a little leery about ditching Sense but I've found that I like the AOSP flavor of Android a lot better.
I am unable to pair CM6 BT with either of my cars' handsfree profiles (no problems with Fresh and DC ROMs). Has BT pairing been a common CM6 problem?

running fresh on my phone with an FPS-unlocking kernel and its slick. What are the day-to-day differences between running froyo? ive seen the benchmarks like everyone else a million times but wondering where and when this becomes noticeably desirable.

In my own experience, CM6 has actually been more stable than Fresh. I'm not sure if it was the kernel I was using before or what, but I would get random reboots here and there. CM6 has been a champ though.

Interesting. I just did a full apps+data backup on titanium while on fresh and the instant it completed it did a reboot. This was while I had the orientation locked down...previously while I had the 270degree ability enabled, running titanium would crash the phone after the orientation changed.

This is killing me... I'm at work and my firewall wont let me through... on top of it all... I was about to unroot my phone... for some reason my phone became / has become very unstable and the touchscreen won't work... this was while running the 07 24 2010 version of the rom... Anyone one with any insight? I could really use your help, I am very new at this, oh and is there any other method of getting the RC other than the provided link?!?!?
