Root Behold II OTA 1.6 Tweaked

No, unfortunately bh_man was unable to completely get recovery working.

Is there a way to adb push the new htc battery icon to my take5 ROM I like it better than the circle that's on it or just adb push the new framework that you made for V3. Maybe you could post just the framework that you made for the ROM and if I do adb push the framework will it only change the status bar/notification bar? Your work is much appreciated thank you, keep up the great work with the custom ROM's.

Is there anyway to verify that a behold II has been flashed correctly other than using odin? Perhaps by computing MD5s of certain files after flashing then comparing them to the MD5s of a known good flash? I'm wondering if the problems people are experiencing are related to bad flashing (even though odin doesn't complain). I can't think of any other way this ROM, and others, work for some and not others.

simply flashing the framework-res.apk could cause problems on your phone, for the battery Icon you only need a few files no the whole framework and changing too much of the framework will cause weird things with the phone.

@Shadow you extracted the files right

Any idea on the force close of the phone when attempting to call?? I've tried restarting my phone like the other post but it's not working.

Got the flash on already I've been messing around with it very impressive totally beats the 1.5 I was running only issues I have are the force close on the caller when dialing out and some downloads from market report errors I also noticed what happened to the memo app I actually used that a lot anyone know of a replacement

1.Try Factory Reset the phone - this should minimized the force closing problem.
From time to time after restarting / turning phone off and back on I still face phone/dialer force closing it self.
2.What I would do is when the phone is first turned on and still in the process of loading up all the widgets / services. I would attempt to make an outgoing phone call (make sure you get Edge / 3G on your signal bar) If you dont get that force closing message and able to make a phone call then you're good to GO! for the rest of the day (as long you dont restart/shutdown your phone) ;)

I dont know if this is a known bug or Is it just my phone but I never have this kind of problem before and I've been using Microhaxo rom from V1 (I started with stock 1.5) but then again it's not a deal breaker for meh!!... I still likin this rom tho :D

I'm also getting force closes when i get calls... but the real problem is that it wont stop vibrating and i don't even have vibrate on. another thing is that I'm getting forced closes of every app using root and the adw launcher. and finally the most annoy problems are that "my account/device" says its not recognizing my phone as a t-mobile phone and for some reason my land scape is not working except when i watch you tube videos... i don't know what to do

There shouldn't be any force closes with phone, there is only one instance when that happens and that's when the new contacts.apk attempts to use android.permission.DEVICE_POWER, only shared system apk's can use that permission and thus a force close will happen. This only occurs when you have crossed files and apks.

I recommend for the best performance and experience that you flash from a newly flashed 1.6 STOCK to this rom. Not any of BH_MANS roms. I do not have the issues that some of you are experiencing and im thinking that it's because of the rom you flashed from.

@ microhaxo: I noticed a bug with v3. When you hit the phone button in call log to call the last number, it activates voice dialer. The phone still makes the call, but having to back out of voice dialer is kind of annoying. You had mentioned in the thread for bearsfan85's rom that you had ported the contacts/dialer app from xda, but you went with the galaxy dialer cuz it was faster. Is there any chance you could post it so I can take a look at it? Curiosity and all...

@ everyone with fc's: LISTEN TO MICROHAXO. He is one-hundred percent correct. I have had a few issues flashing from warheads or galaxy. No problems flashing from stock 1.5 or stock 1.6. There it is.

That's strange, when i open the call log in dialer and press the green phone button it calls my last call?

Here is the other xda contacts app

not completely ported because i stopped and went to AOSP once i saw performance.

flashed from v2 to v3 and the only thing that doesn't work perfectly is handcent sms notitification vibrate... really strange because the phone will still vibrate with calls and haptic feedback etc.

But all i can say is the notification vibrate worked on v2 and now doesn't work with v3.

Any ideas?

make sure that vibration is on for messaging under settings:Sound Profiles and also on Handcent itself

Okay.. This weekend I tried to properly install the rom to avoid force closes with phone / dialer but no luck. Here what I did:

1.Odin back to 1.5 stock w/ Touchwiz T939UVJA3-Odin.zip
2.Odin to 1.6 stock w/ Touchwiz T939UVJE2_OEM - Onepackage
3.Root the kernel w/ Nu11u5's Root-BH2-1.6.zip
4.Odin to Behold II OTA 1.6 Tweaked v3 BH2_Tweakedv3
5.Did the Root Fix
6.Did the Google sync fixed
7.Sync to Google
8.Reboot for the first time
9.test to make outgoing phone call = Worked
10.Install Astro of Market then Restore backed up apps from Astro: fancywidgets, puremessenger, purecalendar and apply ADW
Theme
11.Reboot the phone for the second time
12.Make an outgoing phone call = Forceclose
13.Reboot the phone for the third time
14.Make an outgoing phone call = Forceclose again :(

Help??please?....
