Once Angry Birds finally makes it s way to Android, I'll be a little happier, but until than, I haven't found a single game in the marketplace to peak my gaming interests.

Edit: Scratch that, I'm sorta digging Hungry Shark, because it's mindless fun.

Though I have to admit, some of the games prices are outrageous...$8 for a Guitar Hero port!?

Time wasters:

Sudoku, Traffic Jam, Speed Anatomy, Math Works, and DOPE WARS!! (still developing though)

Time investment:

SNESoid - Legend of Zelda, Super Metroid, and FF III (should last me a LONG time)

Would like to see:

Any Tycoon game, Oregon Trail/Amazon Trail, DOSbox for those classic adventure games :)

My most "time wasted" is using the SCUMMVM emulator, and playing the old LucasArts adventure games I grew up with in the 80's, and loved into my teen years in the early 90's. Zac McKraken, Maniac Mansion, Day of the Tentacle, Sam and Max, Dig, Full Throttle, etc.

YES! After my post, I was looking for ScummVM for the Android, but it wasn't showing up in the Droid Marketplace.

Did you get your version off their forums?? I really need to have this on my DX!!

Is there a website I can visit on a PC to review and search through the Android games for my upcoming Droid 2 purchase on the 12th? I am so excited to have a phone that actually has developers, apps, and power! So long Winmo :)

At the top of this page hit "APPS" and it will take you to the phandroid apps website where everything is listed. Also appbrain.com is a popular one. There is a link in my signature as well as a lot of others on here so you can see the apps we have on our phones, plus you can browse and read reviews of everything on that site also.

Please, for the ignorant among us (ie myself) -- could you define emulator, and how would I download and then use this to play those games? I was a huge Zork fan (OK, guess that dates me....) and then Might and Magic III kept me up nights in the 90s -- also loved Ray Dunakin's games (Twisted, A Mess O'Trouble etc.) on the Mac. Anyway, I would love to know how to make these run on my DX if someone can provide a step by step -- thanks!

You're dating me too! Loved Zork.

Basically just download the zip file. (This one: http://anddev.at.ua/data/scummvm/scummvm.zip)

Unzip it onto the memory card. I put it into a folder named "SCUMMVM"

Then I created a folder for the games, called "SCUMMVM Games".

Ran the emu, pointed it to the games folder, and was all set to go. Works really well with the old LucasArts point and click games on the larger Droid X screen. (Had this on my old Omnia, which was tough to control with such a tiny screen)

Here's a list of compatible games: ScummVM :: Compatibility - SVN
