strange symbol in top info bar

I've been messing around with my new eris and all of a sudden a new symbol appeared at the top and i can't figure it out. I've been trying different things to help battery life but nothing working yet. Now my awake time has jumped to 100% and this thing appeared up top. it looks like a square with a backslash and and a sideways L. can't figure it out. downloaded spare parts and it says android system is big culprit. anyone know whats up?:mad:

Ok, I think you put your phone on silent. Hit the volume rockers and see if it disappears and you can hear your phone again :cool:
