how does your google account / paid apps work with multiple devices

Happy droid user on Nexus One.

THinking about playing around with one of those cheap android tablets. If I logon to that tablet with my google account, will it mess up my N1 and exsting account/settings?

Also what happens with my apps? can I download the ones I've paid for again (onto the new device)? etc.

Anyone rockin multiple droid devices, would appreciate your input

Nope. I had a Behold II before I gave it to my brother. I never bothered to wipe it. Now, everytime I purchase an app (or vice versa), we share all the same apps. The paid ones don't have to be purchased again. Admittedly it's a bit cheap, but wasn't intended to screw Google. We just sort of found out by happenstance. As long you don't intend to modify one thing on one device that syncs you shouldn't have any issues. Both devices can be separate and they'll share all of your information and apps. Uninstalling an app on one device will not affect the other.

It's the same thing for iPhones as well. I had an iPhone and then my brother got an iTouch and he was able to use my account to download the apps I had bought. Only difference is that I did have the intention to screw over Apple (well I think I screwed the people making the app more tho).

you can't unless you both sign in to the device with the same gmail account during setup (example: you buy one, use it, then you buy a new device and transfer your information to the new device). Two different users you won't be able to share. The apps are cheap, just buy it again for the other account if you really like it.

ok thank you for clearing that up, and i understand that the apps are fairly priced but so are the apps in the apple store but the point was you can share them with little to no hassle. just felt like this was a possibility. thank you for answering though any and all input only helps the poster and the readers for the future.
