Root Best/fastest/most stable Froyo ROM w/sense for Desire.

what the hell? I flashed the next sense 5.0, and i get 62mb of internal memory, it says that i should get around 130mb on my first boot. I followed the flash instructions..

Help anyone?

what are the main differences between the rom versions?

or maybe a better question is why do you like one more than another?

Some have features you want, or maybe faster than others.
Its all personal preferences, i have just gone back to the first rom i installed by virtue of the speed it offers.

I'm using, DanneJo_rom_v6-Orginal_HTC_2.2_Sense, & at the mo i've got 135mb internal with a 4gb sd. I've tried a few other roms, DJ Droid, NeoPhyte, Open Desire.

Neophyte here. I'm now using his V5 and I find his ROMS to be the best overall, they are updated a bit too frequently but I only update when I see something worth updating too. Overall a very good rom though.

how high did you score on quadrant?

im running pays-desire-froyo-sense-v1.9 and i scored 1123 on it before.

On the new version of next sense i get 1384, on neopyhte 1.71 its possible to get 1544

Have been using next sense battery saver v4 and v5, and getting about 20 hours movderate usage (with setcpu). Can't say how they compare to normal next sense as haven't used.... but haven't had any issues.

to be honest, its not really fair to compare sense roms to vanilla roms in terms of speed because vanilla will be faster unless its horribly coded..

anyway, i haven't found the need to change from neophyte 1.6 yet, runs so fast and so well... and the theme is blue!

i am running neophyte 1.71 & it gets closer to vanilla roms in quadrant score

fr11 now, nobody on here talks about the modaco rom much, i have tried a few of the roms but always go back to this one.
If it's stability your after.. this is very reliable.

I added baadnewz's insertcoinHD port 2.0 on my sister's Desire earlier today and I have to admit I am impressed with the rom. Looks stable, smooth and polished all over! Sense looks great and this rom has an added bonus of being able to customise the skins, add A2SD amongst other things! Well recommended for sense lovers!

I flashed Leedroid 2.3d today and only been playing with it for a few hours but as far as I can tell everything works the same as a stock Sense ROM.
Very impressed with the stability and functionality so far and haven't found any problems with it at all!

LeeDroid is probably your best bet, teppic74's prerooted 2.2 with a handful of custom addons is actually quite nice (including a2sd). I've been tweaking RCMixHD and it actually runs pretty well, I upped the VM heap size to 48 and it has much faster response and I flashed an older radio since I occasionally lost cell signal with the rom (I was using 5.14.05.17 but now 5.11.05.30_2).

I have started using baadnewz's latest InsertCoinHD 1.3.4 with Sense 2.1. I must say, one of the best ROMS around. I have tried other ROMS, but never got finishing like baadnewz's ROM. His ROMs are always stable and fast, draining less battery power.
