I have a Droid X and have been offered a trade. I can swap my Droid X for an HTC Incredible with 4 screen protectors, hard case with clip & 200 bucks. I have asked on each phones respected forums and of course, each forum picked the phone I posted on.

To help, here are a few comments & concerns:
* I have not used the dlna or hdmi output for the DX so I do not think I will miss it.
* I think the Amoled screen will be nice.
* I hate the social networking widget that is native to Moto, love the Friend Stream on Sense.
* Would prefer the onscreen buttons as opposed to the hardware buttons.
* Concerned that the Inc will not update past 2.2, whereas I have been doing reading about 3.0 on DX down the road.

With these factors, which should I choose? I have about an hour to decide before he goes to order the phone from Verizon.

Thanks for the input.

Considering that the Incredible and X are roughly the same value, the fact that someone is willing to trade you one with accessories AND $200 is pretty suspect. A more reasonable trade would be just the Incredible, maybe the accessories. I would check to make sure the Incredible isn't a refurb, isn't broken, rooted, etc. If you're trading an X in good condition the Incredible should be the same.

If the Incredible is legit I would make the swap in a heartbeat. The Incredible is currently my favorite Android device on the market right now. If you don't mind the smaller screen (which is a plus in my opinion), then the Incredible is a great phone.

Well, here are the things you need to decide on:

1. The DInc is a more stable and proven phone with a more reliable UI. Its smaller and sexier, and that optical trackpad is nice. It will definitely get an upgrade to 2.2 though no promises have been made for a 3.0 update.

2. The DX has better specs and hardware than the DInc. Overall, its a better phone that the DInc, but its still buggy and laggy. I played with one today and its just not as smooth and crisp as the Sense UI on the incredible or the Evo. Its a shame because the graphics hardware has both the Evo and DInc beat. However, this can be fixed with upcoming software improvements and enhancements. Furthermore, I'd be willing to bet that the D X sees an update to 3.0 before the DInc does.

So, the decision is up to you my friend. Do you want a good, stable and proven device now, or are you willing to accept a laggy device buggy device with better specs as an investment in whats coming down the pipeline?
