Root [THEME] Watermark'D {Multiple ROMS / Multiple Options}

Am I missing something? I cannot get the ongoing notifications to change color for cm6 rc 2. I read how to here, but the change on color won't stick, even when selecting the color circle in the center. I can get the time and battery% color to change, but nothing else. Re installed watermarked 3.11 and that didn't fix it either. Any help would be appreciated.

That is a ROM related issue, not the theme. You can check around, not sure if there was a fix post.

Actually Stewart...I thought the same thing. I had checked to make sure that issue wasn't happening with a beta version of Liquid 1.3. When the stock theme was on there, and my phone rang...no issue. I just checked with WM'D v3.1.1 on there and I'm seeing the problem.

I restored a "stock" backup I had of the exact same ROM (pre theme) and verified that the issue went away.

I'm applying a different theme to check out what happens. I will post a screenshot of what the answer key looks like when I get restored back to having the WM'D theme.

I just called myself on CM 6.0.0 RC2, and had no issue. Running Watermark'D 3.11. I have yet to change any of those images, or even mess with them. that is why I consider it a coding issue, not an image issue.

Yeah, this is strange. I just loaded the Blueberry (v1.2) theme overtop of Liquid's ROM and it's harder to see cause everything other than the circular icons are transparent....but you can tell that the answer icon is offset to the left.

So, my apologies, you are right. It's not specifically your theme...it's themes in general. Cause like I said, the stock version works fine.

Weird

Okay...better late than never :D

Here are the screenshots of the answer screen when receiving a call.

I was running the same ROM for all three themes (Liquid Frozen Yogurt). Different themes seem to affect how far of that answer icon is. Also on the Watermark'D version the decline slider was highlighted. Very strange stuff :)

Alright, link to Watermark'D, full UD 6.0.0 ROM is back up.

Went back and forth all day with this, but in the end, I felt it was better to just let whatever happens happen. My take is this:

Look, I have been theming now, almost at a big fat three weeks. Three weeks. This is my first theme. First one I have ever tried/worked on/edited, anything. Do I take pride in it, hell yeah I do. Did I appreciate seeing it ported over? Not happy it happened without being asked. Some guy asked if he could use it for his phone at SDX-Developers... no clue who he was, or phone or anything. Simply said yes, because he was cool enough to ask. Did it piss me off even more when I saw he had credited everyone in the Android community but me for the work on it? Oh hells yeah. I don't ask for anything. I try to do anything I can to appease the communtiy, as seen with the multiple ROMs I am trying to support, even when I have not flashed any others (call me a fanboy, I stay loyal to CM...the whole reason behind the theme). Once that started, I had to customize each theme for whoever the ROM was. And if you read throughout the pages here, that was many, many edits. I have put tons of time and effort into this. Probably a bit too much. Meh.

Anywho. I do not place full blame on Blackdroid. He gets part, because it is his site... and man, if you are going to let someone have that kind of access to it, you need to know what they are doing. I have seen you said they are not part of "your team", as you don't have any, but really. If he would have bashed you and your ROM on that site I bet you would have deleted it. Correct?

Either way, in the end, it only benefits the community to keep up support for his ROM. Too many user could use it, come up with a great idea, it gets added, etc. etc. Denying people who have absolutely nothing to do with the situation is a tad bit unfair, at least in my eyes. I know I rambled, but just wanted to let that be known. Respect goes a long ways. I do this for a thanks, and that is it. I don't have the clout the developers do, or the guys that have been theming for quite a while do, but I do give respect when warranted.

Odd. I saw the email where you posted it, wanted to get home to see. Is anything different from the stock framework-res.apk than mine... as far as code I mean. Again, it isn't the images. It has to be some type of small code issue. I am interested in seeing if I took the one from the stock rom, just replaced say... 15 images, and let it run what would happen, and so on and so forth.

Maybe narrow it down. Other than that, I don't know.

Stewart...Three weeks and you are causing a ruckus! :D

It's a truly great theme and I'm sure we don't give enough thanks when it comes to ROMs and Themes but I'm sure the community is grateful (I know I am).

At the end of the day I think you've shown to be a bigger person than I could probably be. Nicely played!

So anyways...can we get the 3.2 update already? :D :D :D

j/k...And yes, it seems the dialer app is the issue.

There's absolutely no need to credit me. Stewart puts in all the work, all I did was some simple modifications for the text colors.

I could not agree more with these statements! Stewart you are a bigger man than me on this one. I play around with Adobe Photoshop and know how much work it is to crank out all the images your doing. I think that is why I was so upset over the issue.

Your new lockscren:

simple.png

And yes, I know it is pretty plain, but it flows with the rest. Its simple, and hopefully clean. I didn't like the bars on the side, so removing them was first priority. After that, I tried several different things for a lock... scan code, key entry, handcuffs, fingerprint, hand print, ball and chain... just many different looks. It eventually came back to the "simple" lock.

Well, off to more work. Trying out some new things, may be able to post some previews soon.

If you guys could.... Could you post what is and isn't themed on "your version".

So I can compile all at once, and get every ROM up to exactly the same point. I know mine is ahead of what everyone else sees, but from Lithium, to Sapphire, to BB, I am unsure if I forgot anything. That is my little project tomorrow, to get all ROMS themed back up to date. Including some small edits I have here....

-Twitter 1.0.2 icon added, still working on theme
-Lockscreen
-Contacts image resized
- Small framework-res.apk edits

Thanks.

Here is a post for instance:

on Sapphire:

no Facebook or Twitter icons/theme
lockscreen hasn't been added
contacts image hasn't been resized

in comparing my version to your screenshots in the OP, the Navigate, Maps, and Voice Search icons haven't been themed.

and i don't know if this is something you addressed already, but in the Contacts, one or two of your other themes (LithMod and UD, i think) had your themed icons for the "phone", "call log," "contacts," and "favorites" buttons at the top. it's not in Sapphire. i don't know if this was on purpose, or if i missed something or if i messed something up or...
