Seidio Review Update2! New Revision - Rubberized Interior

hmmm...

starting to feel some flex on the right side of the case between the top portion and the bottom portion. The top portion doesn't clip on flush with the bottom so the lines does not meet flush anymore. It doesn't squeek but there is flex. hope it doesn't get worst beyond this point!

Mine is also doing that.

I have the one with the felt that doesn't go up above the camera cut out.

That's what I posted about, #197. I noticed it the day I got the replacement. Mine makes an audible popping noise when any pressure is applied.

Got mine in yesterday. I have Ghost Armor (full body) installed and it fits over very well. I had some problems with it gripping the screen cover when installing, but i just had to be careful with how it was angled when being pushed on.

I'll have to wait to see if it gets loose or squeaky, but so far so good. The Innocase II + Ghost Armor combo is superb.

I was playing WordUp on the crapper today, and when I was finished with the crapping part, I reached over to set my phone on the sink so I could clean my hiney. Well, I apparently misjudged, and I set the Evo right on the edge of the sink, and it immediately fell about 2 1/2 feet to the tile floor. I screamed out in surprise, mixed with a good bit of despair, and reached down for the Evo expecting the worst. The Innocase had separated at the part where the pieces join together, but the phone was unhurt. Snapped the case back together, and it was like it never happened.

So yeah, the first case put a few scratches on my Evo, but the second one totally saved me from a $100 deductible today.

My replacement is now creaking where the two pieces join, so that any pressure near the volume controls results in flex. Bleh.

My 3rd case (2nd replacement) just started doing this again. It was perfect with no movement until I had to take it off the other day to swap sd cards. After putting it back on it feels like the phone is swimming in it. I can't believe how much the fit of this case changes over time.

I wonder how those TPU cases fit in the Innocase holster

Heh, mine too. It was great until I removed it to clean and to get the battery out. Then it's a little loose again. Not nearly as bad as the first but a little loose like the snap isn't as tight as it was at first.

It has also screwed up the finish on the edge of the EVO more than before. The top part has a longer scuffed area than at first. Not surprised, if dust gets in there.

Even though this is not as tight and good of a fit as other Seidio cases, it's not really their fault that the stupid surface on the EVO is so shiny and prone to scuffs.

I have dropped the phone a bunch of times and the case has held up well enough and protected the EVO from much worse damage, so I'm still OK with it.

Here's what you might expect around your power button. Note that I have cleaned the phone completely with a cloth, this is not dirt, these are scuffs and scratches in the plastic of the phone caused by the case:

Actually when I think about it I am kind of annoyed. This is avoidable. I looked into it and it may or may not be from dirt or dust, but I think the biggest one which is actually very deep, was caused by flash on the case. Flash is extra plastic that seeps out of the molds at the parting lines during injection. You will notice looking at the case that there is a parting line right through the middle of the cutout for the power button. Mine is pretty rough and over time caused this damage to the phone. These guys should be lining the top with rubber somehow if the soft touch spray isn't covering it (which it doesn't seem to be doing so well).

I can't believe people aren't more pissed off about this. I returned my seidio cases long ago and went with a $5 TPU case and a $4 rubberized hard case off ebay (2 evos in the family). They have performed perfectly and have not damaged my phone.

I will never buy another Seidio product and will advise the same to anyone I know.

Mine just keeps getting looser. I removed the phone from the case, and it's scratched on every edge. I bought mine from BB, but that was 2 months ago, no way I can get my moeny back. And I doubt Seidio would refund my money, and I'm not sure I want another case from them to add even more scratches.

Do we have any recourse here? It just seems silly that a $25 case used to protect the phone has done more damage than if I'd left the phone naked.
