So I just got my phone and it's plugged in but I don't really get if it's just charging or what. Right now it's showing the Droid and Eye logo over and over. Does that mean it's charging?

When it's off and charging it simply shows a battery and a percent. The red eye only shows up when it's booting. If its stuck in a cycle, try pulling the battery and starting it up.

It sounds like its either a system problem or a battery problem. Try reseating the battery. If that doesn't work, try booting into recovery mode.

no wonder...one of the prongs inside the phone is bent so its not charging or turning on...fml

Did you accidentally do it when you shoved the battery in there? If it's not too horrid, you could potentially bend it back and see if that works. If not, then call Verizon and they should send you a new phone - although that means more waiting.

Alright, that sounds possible. If he can't fix it then you can always call and say that it was like that and get another one.
