can someone point me to a cut/paste tutorial? i searched but couldn't find much. i have stumbled onto holding down the physical up key nd dragging my finger over text to put it on the clipboard but need to know more....
To copy, cut and/or paste using the physical keyboard follow the instructions below:

Selecting Text:
Press and hold the shift key and then press the left or right buttons on the 4-way D-Pad.

Cut, Copy, Paste:
> To copy text, press and hold the Menu key and then press C (Menu+C)
> To paste text, press and hold the Menu key and press V (Menu+V)
> To cut text, press and hold the Menu key and press X (Menu+X)

The "menu" key you press must be the one that is on the physical keyboard.

is there any pure touch way to do copy/paste (ie that doesn't require you to open the keyboard and use shift)?

i've found that you can double-click a word in most kinds of text boxes (if not all) and it will select that word, then long-press for copy and paste.

or you can long press the text box, and cut/copy all.

outside that, not sure if you can "drag-select" without the keyboard. i haven't found a way yet myself.
