1) Soft Rubber case

the link to the 1st one doesn't show the item anymore but if it's the one I'm thinking of (silicone/gel case) then I have that one on the way. I like the protection of the gel cases w/o too much bulk added.

The TMobile stores sell the rubber like ones in the 2nd link, I tried it on my Cliq and wasn't too happy with the bulk it gave to my phone. Plus that cheesy hole for the clip in the back is weird IMO. But if bulk doesn't matter to you then I guess it doesn't matter.

i posted the item number so you can see it for yourself.
the first one says soft rubber. the 2nd one says plastic like case. i am leaning towards the soft rubber because i heard the plastic cases its a bit bulky. i guess you jsut confirmed it. thanks for the input!

How is the grip? I hope its not like the plastic ones which just slip out of your hands. Can you like grip onto the phone properly. And do you think this would protect the phone if lets suppose it fell down?

The grip is very good. Doesn't feel like plastic or silicone. Kinda like a texturized rubber grip. It doesn't attrack a lot of dust like the skins do. I haven't dropped my phone yet but it seems to be extra padded by the corners for shock in case you drop it, without adding bulk. Hope this helps!
