This is driving me nuts. I seriously hope my phone ships tomorrow because this is getting very strange from my point of view.
I ordered on 8/8 and haven't received a shipping confirmation, let alone a tracking number or actual shipping ETA. The only thing I can get out of anyone is the usual, "no later than," ship-by date that's set around the 25th. People who only ordered their phone today or yesterday not only have their shipment processed, but they'll have it within the next day or two. A couple people ordered their phone one day, and had it the next. Some people who ordered half a week after I did already have their phone delivered and in-hand.
By no means am I suggesting that if I have to wait, so do others, but what's going on? I called earlier today and they say it still hasn't shipped out. I haven't received any e-mails. VZW's site still shows my phone as being grayed out when I click on, "Upgrade," and tells me that I have a pending phone activation. It's like my shipment has literally fallen off the back of the truck and no one has noticed.
I know I'm pissing and moaning and totally rambling, but this is driving me up the wall and I don't know what to do. I totally get that it's been back-ordered and there's a wait involved as a result. Yet, if Verizon just got a decently large shipment of these phones, why are customers that are only now ordering their X getting them sooner than those who have already ordered previously? It seems to me that their shipping department has some priority issues.
I have seen two or three peoples' posts saying that they ordered on the 7th or 8th and haven't received anything yet either. How did you few people place your order? Did you order over the phone, in-store, or online? Have you received any sort of notification yet? Any details might help shed some light on this.
