Help Screen Freeze Droid2

So this morning, the alarm goes off on my Droid2 and everything is fine. About an hour later the screen froze and would not unlock or slide. It was absolutely frozen. I was using the stock charger last night. I took it by a Verizon store and the rep pulled the battery and then it started back up with no problem. The big problem is he took ATK (free pre installed version) and killed all the apps and proceeded to tell me how I had to do this. I said "dude, their was nothing running last night and I have not even downloaded any new apps, etc..." I just got the phone on Friday of last week. I really am not a fan of ATK and he tried to tell me if I don't do this, the phone will freeze.

Has anyone had any problem with a screen freeze? Should I wait and see if it happens again, and then request a new phone?

I have not had problems with the screen freezing on this phone but on my previous phones I have had it happen. That includes the X, Incredible. Hopefully just a fluke thing or a dud..This is the fastest and smoothest phone I have owned yet. Again I have owned the Incredible and X and I think this one is a lot smoother..that may be because of 2.2 but in any case a nice phone.

I tend to agree on ATK. It is installed due to Mr. Verizon... lol... yet I am not running it or killing apps. I am considering just uninstalling it. I am not having a battery issue either. I drove 8 1/2 hours today and was on the phone the entire time with work, etc... and I did not have to charge it at all. I did have it on maximum battery setting.

I know this is long after this post, but I have a month-old Droid 2 that froze up for the first time this morning. Got the advice to hold down (on the "real" keyboard) the Alt, Capital, Delete keys simultaneously, and it rebooted and works now! Lots easier than pulling the battery, I think. I'm 69 so the easier the better!
