Hello friends,

I have a customer who has the Motorola i1 on the SouthernLinc network, and, he's been trying to open videos on his phone. He's only tried to open the imbedded videos, like, for instance, on foxnews.com and espn.com, but, is getting an error message when he tries to open it up. I believe it says he needs to download an Adobe flash player or add-on, but, I think he's had trouble opening that up as well.

Any thoughts?

here I'm not sure if this will get other sites videos to play on i1 from browser but it will get Youtube on browsers with wifi of course.

1. Download "youtube.apk" on your computer.
RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting - Easy Filehosting
Save it to your Motorola i1 SD card

2.Enable installation of non-market apps on the phone.
Settings---Applications---Check "unknown sources"

3.Download and intall "Linda file manager" in the android marketplace.

4. Open linda file manager, navigate to your sd card and install youtube.apk

sources.

yes you are correct it does only work for youtube as far as I know. but I still have found sites that i can vids that are embedded in site off my android browser.
like for example my local news site works!WEAU - Home - NEWS, WEATHER, SPORTS & more to Eau Claire, La Crosse, and all of Western Wisconsin
it gives me three options to choose from Q symbol that works on phone which im guessing is quick flash lite(stock media player in i1). then theres a 3GP which force closes and a mutli colored play symbol that also doesnt let me play the vid.
I'm not sure what the last two media types are but they are not working with android browser.
If anyone knows what type of media these symbols stand for I would appreciate it!
