Root White Widow

I'm running White Widow 4.6. I've been running it for about 3-4 weeks now. Last week I started getting a "Geolocation not found" error notification. I've turned off both "Use GPS Satellites" and "Use Wireless networks" in the location and security settings. I can't seem to get rid of this notification. When I clear it, It comes back 15 minutes later. I've also done a battery pull.

Is anybody else having this issue? Did anybody fix this issue? If so, how did you do it? I'm looking for a solution that doesn't involve me re-flashing the ROM.

After some more troubleshooting I figured out it was the Beautiful Widgets weather widget that was causing the problem. If anybody else is having this issue, simply specify your location in the settings. Funny thing is, I don't even use the weather widget from BW.

I just downloaded "Touchdown" and it solved all those issue...it's a little pricey at $20, but it comes with a fully functional 30 day trial...and I've used the trial for a couple months now, since I keep wiping my sd card and flashing to new roms.

I decided to give this Metamorph a try; I didn't quite get the same result. Everything seems to have been successful except for the notification bar, which didn't change at all. Any thoughts?

Thanks buddy. That was my first thought, but each time I attempt that it seems to hang up while applying. I realize this can take a bit of time, but it can go for several minutes without actually completing the install. "Please Wait" and "Applying framework-res.apk theme". Anything else come to mind? Or am I just being impatient?

EDIT: Or obtuse? ;)

No, it seems anything that involves the status bar was not changed. I was expecting the reboot, I'm normally not the freak out type; just seemed to be taking longer than most ROMs I've tried. Thank for the offer. I'll give it a few more minutes, if there's no reboot I'll send you over my email addy.

Uh oh..."themed"....that wouldn't be an "Afghan Bhang" or "Hippie Lettuce" theme would it? :D

more along the lines of dutch dragon :p

it shouldnt take more than a minute or two, so if its not working let me kow. ill flash back to stock WW and apply it and pull the framework-res.apk for you

you want the rotary dialer for froyo? that would have to be custom made. i could probably get one together. its a pain in the ass though-you have to decompile the .dex file with smali and baksmali, edit the stuff, then recompile and resign. if there interest, i can have one in a few days maybe. ive been busy today and will be for a short period over the next week or so.
