I can genuinely appreciate being impatient waiting for your phone to arrive because I waited impatiently myself. But I don't see a SINGLE post made by someone who didn't have their phone shipped by the date Verizon told them it would ship by.

I understand the frustration of watching people who ordered their phones after you receiving their phones before you do, but you will still have your phone before the date that it was promised to you.

I don't pretend to understand what method Verizon, or Motorola, or FedEx, or the White House uses but I guess at the end of the day I don't need to understand. All that I need to know is that my phone gets to me by the time it was promised. Anything else should be considered a bonus. Nobody owes any of us anything beyond that.

FINALLY received my shipping notification email!

Location: Southern California
Ordered: 8/9 around 8:30 PM
Via: VZW website
Confirmation Email Received: 8/9 right after ordering
Order Processed: 8/10
Payment Processed: 8/12 (according to Chase)
Shipping Notification Received: 8/22

I can't see anything via Fedex at the moment but I'm hoping the phone will ship out tomorrow since I got the notification today.

There's just one weird thing. When I got my confirmation email, I got an internet order number that's 10 digits long. Putting that in at the Order Status page gives me no tracking number or courier, but simply "Due to overwhelming inventory demands, your DROID X by Motorola order will ship on 08/25/2010."

Okay, so even though I got the shipping notification email, maybe the phone will still ship out three days later, right? But in the email, they give you a sale order number (7 digits) and location code. Use THOSE on the Order Status page and I actually see a tracking number and courier (Fedex).

Er, considering they tell you to check the status of your order with the 10-digit internet order you'd think it would actually be up to date... I don't know D:

Anyway, here's hoping my phone will arrive soon!

Oh yeah. racquetballer... totally agree with you about Verizon being losers with their new Order Status page.

I'm using the order number on my receipt and the location that's on my receipt. So I don't know why it's not working for me.

I would think cash would be lesser of evils because it cannot be denied like credit and its all in hand.

) i'm in iowa - the email was sent by verizon
and the ship by date when i ordered was aug 30th - i emailed verizon friday night and asked if it shipped and i got a response from them A HOUR BEFORE the shipment notice came and they told me it would not ship UNTIL aug 30.

i feel bad for those of you who are getting close to your 'ship by' date because it really shouldn't be that way.
although what i'm noticing is West Chester, PA warehouse is sending out the earliest, next is memphis and then California.

even though it will be delivered on tuesday - i'm on vacation and not going back to work until wednesday.... unless my co-worker texts me saying it was delivered tuesday morning. i'd rather not see my boss on my day off.

I went to the order status page today and noticed that change too. It looks like I finally have a ship date

"Here is the status of your order.
Due to overwhelming inventory demands, your DROID X by Motorola order will ship on 08/25/2010"

I hope they stick to it, and we get some shipping info soon. Oh, and when I went to the Order Status Page today it had an added field, Location Code, though that is only for orders placed on the phone or in the store. As always, I found more reports of people from the East getting tracking info this weekend, some had ordered theirs days after I ordered mine on the 10th, that really chaps my hide pardner :mad:

Edit-The post just above mine is a PRIME example of what I'm talking about, no offense to the poster intended

People getting theirs already, even if they ordered after me, well, that REALLY chaps my hide

Again, no offense to anybody intended, well, except maybe to Verizon's SCREWED UP order system, which unfarily is NOT sending out orders according to when they were received.

Edit-I seriously can't believe that the SoCal Warehouse has any less demand than the East, in fact, with data centric cities like San Francisco nearby it may even be higher demand.

Oh yeah in store there was no email tied to it, hence my daily calls to Customer Service in lieu of it. Unfortunately; they haven't been able to tell me any new information of if or when it will ship, but we all knew that.
