Hi guys

Now the new season has properly started I really want a good app that tracks scores properly so I thought we could all discuss the ones on offer. I use 'Soccer Score Centre lite' at the moment but I'm not happy with it - as I can't figure out how to track games taking place (apart my 'my club') and it doesn't lock the screen so my screensaver comes on and then it doesn't refresh properly.

I know fotmob is a popular app as well - could I seek people's views on that? I'm after an app that shows you all the live games (and when clicking on them you can find out the scorers, the yellow / red cards and so on) and for it to show you the upcoming fixtures as well.

I'm a championship support - not EPL - so it needs to cover all leagues. Surely that is not too much to ask?!

I know there have been a few threads on this already - but not since this season has started and frankly the ones on offer appear crap :(

Fotmob would be best for you mate the leagues it covers are endless and its defo got all English leagues. I use it and find it to be the best one out there, i'm not sure how well it covers the championship I only watch prem league but scores seem to be updated "live". Only problem is there's not enough commentary like the sky sports app for iphone, If sky brought out the score centre app for android i'd defo be using that over any footy app that's out at the mo! Espn scoccer app is awful i wouldn't even bother with it.

I use both Fotmob and Scorecenter, but both have their downsides.

I primarily use Scorecenter because I can add my favorite leagues and then see all of the live scores on the "my scores" window. It has live commentary, goal notifications (I haven't used them, so I don't know if they work well), lineups, and a timeline of the action. The only downsides are that you can't view fixtures by league, and the news feed only shows English news. The UI isn't too great either. The developer is great at responding to emails though.

Fotmob is great when you want to quickly look at live scores or league tables, but doesn't go into much depth, other than who scored, yellow cards, etc. The goal notifications are the best around, I think. The news feed for this one is also bad, as you have to switch to the league of the news feed you want to see.

The Goal.com app is just flat out terrible.

If anyone knows of a footy app that has a good news feed, please let me know!

Eurosport have there own app ! a friend who has an iphone told me to search for it and it was decent on andriod. It's by far the best app for footy scores i've found, my last post on here reccommends fotmob but since then i've found eurosport better. it force closes sometimes or takes ages to load up which can be really annoying but when its working it's CLASS !!! and has written commentry too.

other then that theres a BBC footy app which is also pretty good for footy news and also can be used for footy scores, team info and also written commentry. its not BBC official but uses the BBC website for the info.

hope these help, i've got both and highly reccommend both!!
