I like mine but sometimes I do things faster than it can handle and it gets a bit laggy, anyone else notice this?
Why do people think a software release can make a processor that runs at a certain speed suddenly run faster.
I will be tossing this thing in the trash if they keep it at 1.5 and no upgrades.--- Small choice in Adroid market apps for Eris (nervous that Eris 1.5 OS will be left for this platform only --- no 2.0 update)
---
I too have used the Eris for over 2 weeks now. The lag with apps and calendar are very noticeable. Possibly some OS optimization can help but I fear that the processor may not be up to speed for this device. (maybe 2.0)
The Eris is easy to like though. It has "many" compelling features I enjoy and the Sense UI is to dye for.
--- multi-tasking
--- Sense UI software
--- Weather (always current location)
--- Easy customization for screens and programs
If it weren't for the quirks ---
--- Visual voicemail (loud speaker only)
--- Copy/paste shortcomings

Thats funny, cause no matter what hardware your pc was running, Vista could bring it to a crawl !
Sorry, Im not one to believe that rumors are going to make my phone better. If in fact the upgrade does make the device faster I guess we both win.Thats funny, cause no matter what hardware your pc was running, Vista could bring it to a crawl !

If you hate the Eris so much, take it back !
You mean like this:I dont hate the Eris but I have a low tolerance for internet assclowns.
Operating systems, in particular, make a huge difference in operational speed of a device. There's no question that an updated version such as 2.0 can improve speed. If it actually WILL is another question. Why do people think a software release can make a processor that runs at a certain speed suddenly run faster.
Thanks for proving my point. You know very little about computers and software, obviously. So the Eris processor runs at 528MHz, and 2.0 is going to make it run at 800 or 1G like the Dragon or Moto?? I dont think so. But thank you as well
