Accessories Best Buy has 1750 mAh battery for evo!

I have been searching fo week for that so called soon to be released (yeah right) battery booster case from HTC that never came as well as seeing if the extended HTC brand Droid Incredible battery from verizon would wedge in behind a case even without the stock battery door( it wont by the way) I have read alot about the BatteryBoss test with the ebay,seidio, and amzer batteries being inaccurate as far as actual mAh. I also did not want to get the 3000, 3500, (for what its worth I believe I saw a 4500 on ebay four a touch pro 2, they fit the EVO right?) anyways I was in Best Buy 8/24/10 looking around and seeing when my wife was eligible to upgrade into an EVO and I was just paroozing the accessories and I found this!

Its a 1750 mAh Spare Battery (it says so on the battery lol.....) it also was the last one so I snagged it up but it was $50 bucks though. I got it for two reasons. 1 if its doesnt work any better than the stock battery, I can always return it and get my money back which is a lot easier than filing a claim with ebay, paypal, or any of the companies that make these batteries. 2 I think that Best Buy probally wouldnt stock it as a 1750 mAh if it wasnt, that might be why we cant find any store that sells them locally.

It is a 500mAh rechageable battery back/charger that has a micro usb that fits our phones as well it was $20 bucks I may pick one up later this week. The downside is that it blocks part of the screen when connected but in a jam it could be handy though. It fits on a key chain

I am also a member on XDA as well but cant post for some reason, if anyone here is a member on there as well, feel free to link this to their accessory section.

That is true but at least I can return it within 30 days without question for a replacement or cash and no shipping cost.

i don't knowk about that energizer one though, i think they'll tag a 15% restocking fee on it beacuse the packaging will be destroyed.

so what is 15% of $20 bucks......a $1.50....... no big loss plus you would have gotten the use out of it for however long. I live in Virginia and I have never been charged a re-stocking fee for returning an item here.

bet you anything its the same seido battery just repackaged. I'm pretty sure the case they solda case in that similar packaging was also a seido product that had been repackaged...

at least it will be easy to return like you said, in case it doesnt work out...

YOu can buy the stock htc evo batteries on ebay for $20. and they are authentic OEM. or you can do like many of us and buy the 12 dollar 3000 battery and have fun all day on your phone without every worrying about charging it

Shopping @ Best Buy is a rip off. I go there to check out new items every once in awhile and then go order the item(s) online. It's sad how willingly people fork over their hard earned money to a store that jacks up the prices beyond belief.

And im sorry to tell you deal seakers. With batteries you get what you pay for. The cells of this battery, i have one, are constructed in Japan. And its assembled in Taiwan. But the battery cells are constucted in japan. And the OEM batts are chinese through and through.

So yea this is a higher quality battery. In both mah and construction quality.

Thats why you see that Walgreens batteries never ever ever last as long as engergizer. CAuse you get what you pay for.
Go ahead and get your cheap battery. I can swing $50 bucks for a good battery.

Thanks Fatstogey, I cant for the life of me figure out why people pay $200+ (with an upgrade) bucks for a good phone and have no issues putting a $12 dollar knock off in it or try and find a 32Gb memory card for $10 bucks and wonder why their phone is having issues. You can get IClones on ebay all day long and I think I even seen a knock off evo running windows. Quality cost, and the Platinum cases are just like the seidio one except they do not say seidio they have a Pt on them

One Beast, your right I should not of refered to them as knock offs, because they clearly have no branding. However i bet your clothes are not no brand, nor your t.v., or shoes, or even your computer, and why is that?

Find me a piece of clothing......A TV....Or a computer that has no Name brand and that just says Chinese on it and we will be in business..

(FYI i want a brand name TV because when it comes to this area knockoffs are unacceptable.....I dont care much for name brand Shoes or clothing as long as it looks good.. and i built my computer from scratch so it is not a brand name :cool:

I went to Best Buy today and I saw Seido on the bottom as the maker. It's a Seido rebadged.

$12-two 3000mah batteries and cases/24hrs of medium to heavy usage with no problem whatsoever!

$50+tax+time+driving to store+ waiting in line for 1 stock battery that will last you as short amount of time as the one you have now.

Ouch, take that back! The "no brand" 3000 mah batteries we are all talking are amazing! The case for the back is pretty good too. Covers up the Lense and adds a little weight to your phone.

Gosh i can't believe how many stupid people fall for the logo crap. Business make millions off of people like you thinking because the battery has an htc logo it's someone better than one without it. they probably both come from the same factory. Only difference one was ran on a machine that wraps the battery in htc material other general material.

Eitherway i'll take 24hrs of heavy use over any of your crappy "htc" batteries that will die before you can finish your lunch meal at work.
