Root Cyanogen Tazz 1.0

This is the best battery life I've experienced on my Eris. 9 hours and I'm still at 76%. I've been gaming, texting and had a couple phone calls so pretty much a normal day for me. Previously I would have been setting at 40% at best. This is my first 2.2 ROM and my first ROM that isn't using sense. There are a couple widgets I miss, but I'll gladly live without them for this kind of battery life. Other than the battery life, everything else seems pretty stable for me. I'll probably stay on this one for a bit.

Are you running setCPU, Launcher Pro, or Autokiller?

i'm not getting the same killer batt results as you guys, but it is an improvement compared to other froyo roms.

I had full charge at 7 am and now at 3:45 I have 63% left. I'll get a full day easy. been running the 3g and auto synch all day.

no set cpu or autokiller. I use Launcher Pro (free version)

Almost installed setCPU but I decided to hold off on it for a day or two, no autokiller and Launcher Pro is in there. Didn't really do a lot of tweaking even, just my normal turning off things that annoy me like haptic feedback (seriously, it's like smashing a bug every time i hit a button, who thought that was a good idea?).

Ok.. I'm pretty sure I followed all the directions to install this ROM but I keep getting this- (the process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly)
force close. It pops up over and over again... I have rebooted again and again...any ideas out there?? thanks

wipe (both wipes) and reflash the rom again. something happened on the install and a fresh flash should clear it up.

Doesn't the Acore have something to do with one of the launchers? Are you using Launcher Pro or ADW? Try to uninstall them with your Titanium and reinstall it from the market and see if it fixes it.

or remove titanium altogethr. i read at xda that titanium was causing some issues for people who flash alot of roms and restore the apps with titanium.

worth a try to remove titanium, flash the rom (after wiping) and then one by one reload just the apps you need, watch the performance and see if any of the apps are causing the problems.

possibly a bad restore of the apps after you flashed?

i am currently running cynogen tazz v8. is it worth it to upgrade to 1.0? is it really a noticeable change. battery life on v8 is sufficient so i am not worried about that.

v8 is a great rom. good performance, battery life is good.

v 1.0 has some theme-ing which you may or may not like ( i like it). it is snappier and stable than v8. i say do a nand back up. both wipes and flash v1.0 (remember to flash the google apps right after flashing v 1.0)

Well out of all 2.2 ROMS I have tried Cyanogen Tazz 1.0 seems to be the best. Its very quick and holds a good battery charge. I was using Cyanogen Tazz V8 but it was killing my battery.

I think I have finally found a 2.2 ROM I will stick with for a while.

Edit: Last.FM issue seems consistent with all Froyo roms.

And battery... Not much different than any pre-Froyo rom (in my case, I swear it was worse).
