if it's going by account number, i should be in luck. i've been with Verizon since AirTouch, so hopefully my account number is toward the top. maybe not and i'm just trying to make myself believe that my phone is going to alert me any minute. haha.
Why would a software update adjust/remove a security feature? This has been addressed many times before. The phone will not charge to 100% while on to prevent voltage fluctuations that could damage the components of the phone, including the battery. This isn't going to change, especially not through a software update.
Not to be argumentative, but since when is this a "security feature"? I stopped reading all the battery complaints a couple of months ago (can only take so much), upgraded to the 1750mh battery and have been doing the bump charge. The HTC tech support person I contacted in May did not seem aware of the battery charge problem (feature) and said she would pass my concerns along. Security feature sounds like PR spin, unless you got it from an official source.... Just saying I also was hoping the update would correct the problem. According to the official Verizon update article I downloaded yesterday, the second item listed under improvements is "Improved battery life". I guess I will see when I get my update.
Nothing on 4 inc s here in philly (me my wife and 2 co-workers) I showed one coworker verizons pdfs and notice and he still doesn't believe it's ever going to come.
