Only real bug i get is the green grass bug. When i hit the power button to wake the screen, the wallpaper visible behind the lock slide is the green grass wallpaper and not the wallpaper that i picked to use. After i slide the lock to open the homescreen then my wallpaper that i picked shows up. Is there something that i can do to stop this?

do you still have to use adw launcher or launcher 2 for this rom

if so thats a deal breaker for me

No, I don't like either one of those choices either. You never had to anyway, so "still" is misleading. You can always go install LauncherPro or some other launcher and then delete the one that you picked to come with CyanogenMod. Example: Assuming you chose ADW Launcher as your launcher.

1) Install CyanogenMod as normal. Deal with ADW Launcher for now even if you don't like it.
2) Let it install all of your apps.
3) Make sure you have LauncherPro installed and set as the default launcher.
4) Open up Android Terminal emulator and type in these commands to remove ADW Launcher. Note that it is all case-sensitive. And make sure you have a launcher to use now that you're removing the only one that came with the system please. ;)

Code:
su [I](this runs all subsequent commands as the super user so you can modify the system files)[/I]
mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtd4 /system [I](this mounts /system as a read-write filesystem)[/I]
rm /system/app/ADWLauncher.apk [I](this removes ADW launcher)[/I]

I was running this for the last two days and it was really great - except for one STUPID thing - my wallpaper kept switching to the green grass picture and I could NOT get it off unless I rebooted. Sounds really dumb, I know, but I couldn't keep the ROM with that shit wallpaper. Anyone else having this problem? Anyone know a fix?

**Edit - apparently I can't read - I see I'm not the only one - a fix would be AWESOME**

If you're rooted and going from the leaked FRG22 to CM6, do you need to wipe date and cache? What exactly does wiping data mean? Will it remove all your applications and prevent you from accessing your backed up applications in ROM Manager? I've only ever flashed stock/leaked images of official builds, so I've never had the need to really wipe data and cache, that's why I'm a little concerned on what each actually means.

Im not in the same exact boat as you but I was at stock FRG01B (The first update) and then used easy root to root my phone. After downloading CM6 Stable I decided I didnt want to wipe data and cache. Basically what this does is make your phone like it is directly out of the box. You have to do initial setup and all your apps and storage on the actual phone gets deleted. Nothing on your SD card is touched. After installing CM6 Stable, my phone kept getting stuck on the boot animation. I then had to reboot into recovery and wipe data and cache, which it then didnt get stuck at the boot animation. Oh and another thing, I use AppBrain to back up all my apps, so therefore all I had to do was install AppBrain from the market, sign in, and install all my apps from there, some apps didnt install but oh well. Hope this kind of helps.

Thanks man, this does help. I think I'm gonna hold off for now, since I'm enjoying FR22 at the moment. Is there a place where I can find all the new features that CM6 would give me? Maybe some awesome features would push me to try out CM6.

hi all,
I forgot to make a titanium backup of all my apps before flashing this rom from Chevy's SS4.7. I did however make a backup of the chevy ROM using Rom Manager and thought I'd flash back to that to make a titanium backup and then reflash CM 6. But when I click on manage ROM's and try to restore the previous ROM it just says that Rom Manager has been granted super user permission and then kinda stops...it does not do anything else. I did wipe cache and data but didn't think it would delete the ROM and apps too. Or does it? Any other way to get my apps back?
thanks.

fixed. just chanced the name of the backup and all went well.

CHANGELOG.mkdn at froyo from CyanogenMod's android_vendor_cyanogen - GitHub

That's that Change Log for Cyanogen Mod 6...its kind of confusing but that's the only place I could really find that lists the features. Maybe some one else knows another place they list the features...I mean it would be a good idea considering people want to know what is what before downloading a particular ROM.

Basically in my opinion, CM6 basically adds more settings and customizations then stock android has to offer. It allows for customization as far as LED notifications and color of LED, ability to rotate screen 360 degrees (even upside down), and I'm only naming a few of my favorites. CM6 also changes some stock android apps, such as the music app with a new user interface. CM6 also adds a "Video" app much like the music app to browse through your videos. Of course these are only a few of the features in CM6.

I would be interested if someone had where it lists the full features and changes the Cyanogen Mod ROM adds to your rooted phone.
