69.99 hero or moment at best buy

I went to best buy today and they wouldn't refund me the difference, they said it's for cyber Monday which means it is online only and they aren't allowed to price match to the website.

I can't complain, they allowed me to return my instinct to the actual sprint store, and then come into BB and get the hero for the $99.00, even though we'd been sprint customers for 2 days, lol. Technically they had to use the 'add a line' option, so I am thankful they were cool about it. I already got a great deal as it is. :)

Maybe the pricing is regional. This is in Central FL, see date and time lower right. This is what I see.

Dude, I had bought a hero last Wednesday and then saw this thread and wanted to get it cheaper.today, called Sprint fought like hell to get them to allow me to take the phone back with no problems, got to best buy and they show me that add. They said, "we don't know anything about that price with contract extension." I made them let me use their pc and showed em this forum thread and they honored the 69.99 price. I was freakin' out. I had already returned the other one. What a deal.....

Okay here is the lowdown on some of the questions asked earlier as I took your questions in the store with me.

Q: Can I get money back if I bought my Hero at a higher price than the $69.
A: Yes, as long as the purchase receipt is within 30 days.

Q: Is the price for new customers only?
A: Yes.

Q: Can I get more than one Hero for $69?
A: This is a new question I plan to put to the test with BB store tomorrow. I called the online store to verify what the website was saying, and they confirmed; YES, you may get up to 3 Heros for only $69 each. This was my situation when I asked to purchase the 3 Heros on the 1500 everything plan. I plan to ask if I can do this in the store, when the website is willing to honor this price. FREAKING AWESOME!

Hey K-Rizzle, they have it now being offered for $69.99 for NEW accounts as well. I'd give it a try and get the $30 bux back. And if you read their price match guarantee, they are supposed to honor both online and in store pricing. I posted a link in an earlier reply to that statement. I was satisfied with my price of $129 due to the reward zone offer earlier this month and was a little disappointed they wouldn't match the $99 price. But for this phone at that price I was ok with it, but now... wow, I'm really happy cuz I did get the $69.99 price :).

Heres a link to the price for new accts: Welcome to our Wireless World

and a link to their price match guarantee:

I went back to the store tonight, armed with a printout of the web site with the "contract extension" price. I was ready for a fight, and prepared to return the phone and order online.

I got the refund. Not even a bit of hassle about "online only". The only challenge was that they had to refund the original phone, sell it to me, and price match to 69.99. So, I'll have several credits and debits on the card, but the net result is a Hero for 69.99, so I'm okay with that.

I has also received a card in the mail for 1,000 Reward Zone points for purchasing a phone, so I got them to apply that, too!

All in all, a good day for me and my Hero.

I just left the store, I took my reciept and showedthem wireless.bestbuy.com . He mentioned he shouldn't do it since it was a cyber Monday deal . He needed a over ride from his manager and he came over and looked at the website on my phone . Pointed out the "weekly deals from sprint " title then showed them the url and.that sweetened thw deal.32 dollars refunded

Woot!

Here's the story: 1 week ago, I added a line to an existing account - new 2 yr contract line on existing account. BestBuy guy told me on "add a line" they couldnt give me $99 price, it had to be $179. I talked him down to $149.

Just now, I walked into an L.A. area BestBuy, simply said "I'm here for a BestBuy.com price match." and showed them the "$69.99 Special" webpage on my Hero, she said "Okay... hold on... I need to find it on our computer." She searched around to find the special online. (It didnt seem to be very easy, but she found it.) Within 3 minutes of arriving at the counter, $79.99 was credited back to the credit card it was purchased with. No hoops, no arguments, just happy refunds.

Thanks for the heads up, guys!!

Ok, just got back from BB and initially customer service commented that the zip code on the printout I took with me was from another state so they may not be able to honor it. I politely said no, it's your wireless world site and I can easily return my wife's phone and purchase it online. After a few minutes they sent me to the mobile department where they promptly gave my wife the $110 difference. We then turned around and bought a couple bluetooth accessories with the refund, so that made them feel better. A win-win situation.

Must be diff policies for diff Best Buys. I have tried twice and have had no luck from their customer service or Cell dept. The manager even showed me a letter from corp stating they would not be honoring price match for Black Friday or Cyber Monday. I had no luck here in Memphis Tn.

I took the ad to the BB where I work and got a huge run around. The manager said they did not honor on-line adds then she said they were not price matching Cyber Monday. She even showed my a letter from corporate saying this. I left went home and looked at the best buy policy on price matching.
1. They DO honor their On-Line Ads
2. They don't honor price matches on Black Friday through that Sat. It was Monday and it said nothing about not honoring Cyber Monday.
3. It states that Best Buy Mobile In-Store and On-Line would also be honored.

I printed this and off to my Best Buy by my house. The Mobile Rep gave me my 60.00 credit on my Hero and also gave me 120.00 credit on my Moment. They will try anything to NOT honor their own policies, however if you have them in writing with you it is hard for them to say no. I now got a Moment and Hero for 69.99 each as well as a 70.00 credit from Sprint for my wifes Moment as a thank you for signing a 2 year com. I am going to call Sprint and try and get the same credit on my line. That will make the phones FREE. You can't beat that. Oh and this time the Phone rep did not even question it. They saw the papers I had I think and just decided they did not want an argument. I was ready this time. Take a copy of their Price Match policy and they cannot say No.

Just went to Best Buy and got my credit on day 30! :D

Went straight to Customer Service and gave them print out from Best Buy mobile that showed the price for 2yr contract extension. They credited my card the $60 plus tax! Took all of 2 minutes. No hassle and no questions!

Can't believe I got this phone for $69.99 in the little time it has been out. Guess it helps that it is Xmas time and everyone is trying to undercut each other on prices.

Hello...

I was wondering if anyone was able to get this deal on Tuesday. I just came from BB armed with the printout of the jpeg from jdbell2004 and they said they never offered the Hero for anything less than $179 with a contract renewal. The best thing I can find on the BB site is $99.99 as a web only price. Otherwise, I'm stuck having paid $179 last Saturday.

Thanks,

Craig

You are out of luck. The $69.99 deal is now over, and it doesnt matter if they DID offer it for that, you must do the price match WHILE THE SALE PRICE IS IN EFFECT. It looks like there were a couple people that got the deal this morning, but it looks like right now, the deal is over.

That's why I went over last night. I was going to wait until today, but one must "strike while the iron is hot".

Very lucky...I spoke with an associate, front end manager, and then operations manager...he was like typically blah blah, I told him, typically yes but you have the authority to do it. Plus it's all over forums that this is being done across the country...I just got back into the country after yall were closed (an exaggeration, but it still worked lol)...he did it as a 1 time courtesy lol...got back $117.70

I would say if you have the printout from earlier today reflecting the $69.99 try it. Don't go to the mobile device center though. Go straight to customer service, tell them you want to price match the online price and hand them the printout. That's all they needed from me and I got my credit.

Granted, I would say today is your last chance at possibly getting it.

Good luck to those who haven't gone yet.
