EVO's EVO's Everywhere! Do you see what I see?

I would like to say this, I live in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area, and on average I see about 5-10 Iphones 3 / 3G S handsets on the normal. I have only seen in person 2 iphone 4's. I can say this though, since the inception of the EVO 4G on my account by my Wife and I, on June 5th, I have sucessfully and happily converted 12 Iphone customers to EVO users and everyone of them do not regret it at all. I now can see that android is really making the push to be a top notch competitor to the mobile OS environment.

I believe that the "I believe we will see the infusion of the Android Operating system as being the sole and dominant OS in the mobile industry by 2012" - IBM Top Level Exec as posted on DIGG.

I think that this is on it's mark to really get to that point, AS as software developer and part of the Android XDA and community, AppBrain on the rise, Market on the growth my thousands, introduction of many new Google applications and such, not to mention the AppInventor, it's only a matter of time.

ANDROID FTW----I have been saying that for about the last 9 months.

Look out Apple, your shit's about to get real rotten and it's time to toss out the old fruit.

something that just works when you get it? dont forget the bummper needed to make calls. and thier natzi control on MY purchased device.

You don't even loose that much reception when you hold the phone. I have used the iphone 4 to make a phone call or two, and never had any issues with it at all. You can root the device just like any other ;)

I came from an original iPhone to the EVO. I also have a 2nd gen iPod touch. It seems crazy, but I HATED my iPhone almost the whole way through, while still to this day loving my iPod Touch. I think it's because there are certain limitations I find acceptable on a PMP device, but not on a smartphone. My EVO is WAY smarter than my iPhone. Just my experience though.

The build quality on the iphone, the look, how fast it works is just amazing to me. I used a iphone 4 and everything just loads up so fast. You go to your pictures? They're there. Music? Its there. I would love to just have something that is basically universally accepted into many accessories/devices, no matter where i would go.

Maybe someday on the android.

that is great for u... the at&t signal is strong and can overcome the iphone antenna issue. but that dont change the FACT it is a 100% issue! it is there and will get you when you go into normal at&t service areas. and you can get the bummper to fix the phone.. but you still have at&t.

yes.. iphone just seem faster...
because it dont do true multi-tasking.. only a few things. so it can use most of it resources to run the app you ask.
you have to give some to get some.

it is nice that the iphone has so many accessories and can plug in places. but so is a USB.
sometimes I am glad I dont have all those things to purchase... sometime I am jealous.

I don't see it as an issue if i have never had trouble with it. At least play with an iphone 4 before you jump on the android bandwagon. See, i realize that it is a great device even though i use to think that only braindead people would use it. Each carrier has its strong suits, you just have to find out with one is best for you. Like i wish sprint had sim cards..would make life so much easier.

There is no such thing as true multitasking, unless it evenly splits its resources. Meaning that if you are running two applications, they both must take 50% of the resources currently available to do it. Does that exist? No, it doesn't. Just like people think they can multi task when really they cant.

I would mainly want this for my car. I would love to just carry my phone, plug it into the usb and control it through my cd player like i do my ipod. That way i can cut down on technology.

Also, have you used apple's keyboard? It is awesome.

I see them every where on my college campus. In one class there's about 5 and they sit near me in a 300+ person lecture, so I'm sure there's more. Another class there was a girl with one (perfect ice breaker ;D) that sat in front of me.
and just last night at a party I saw about 4.
I've only seen one Droid X.
Its almost like I see just as many Evo's as I see Iphone 4's...but blackberry's remain the majority....even if we count all the droids on campus.
