I don't know if any of you are following this, but I sure have. If you haven't heard of PSFreedom, PSJailbreak, PSGroove, etc.. it is a hack that enables your PS3 to run homebrew software. It only works on the 3.41 firmware, but is a milestone in PS3 development, taking 4 years to get to this point.
Anyway, there has been a lot of work porting this function over to Android devices, and this morning they finally got the Droid done!
If you are interested in running homebrew apps, backing up your games, installing different OS (eventually), then check this out.

Edit:
The site doesn't specifically state what the PSJB method actually is, so if you don't know it is simply this:
1. Unplug your PS3 completely from a/c, either via a switch on your surge strip, or unplugging the cord from the back of the console.
2. Plug you phone into the far left USB port on the front of the PS3.
3. Start the psfreedom.ko script on your phone via a terminal emulator.
4. Plug the PS3 back in.
5. Hit the power button immediately, followed by the eject button on the console.
6. You should hear multiple beeps as the console attempts to load from the USB port.
7. On the XMB you should see a new option under Games to "Install Package File." Insert a secondary USB storage device into the PS3 to laod your backup manager/ftp app. The .pkg files must be on the root of the new USB device in order for them to be seen.
YOU WILL NEED A RETAIL DISC IN THE DRIVE TO LOAD ANY BACKED UP GAMES!
