Got mine today but havent got home to play with it yet.. Only 3 days between the day I ordered it online and the day it was on my doorstep. I didnt think Id see this phone for 2 weeks.

They shipped it out but i'm not receiving it until the 14th you'll get it before me.

You would need to keep me company ! no one likes a poor soul without his droid X..

I think its possible. I mean doesn't UPS? Mine X was shipped out of Newark NJ.

I read on their FAQ site that they do make ground deliveries on Saturday, but that it costs more to personal addresses and not for businesses cause well i guess most of them are closed. But, IDK how that will work with Verizon shipping them out.

Mine says it shipped from PA then was delievered to Newark NJ and it's being shipped out of there.

After doing a ton of research I ordered my Droid X on 9/5. I had to phone in the order because I live in North Texas and there was a promotion, $59.99/mo for unlimited mobile to mobile (any carrier), unlimited text (any carrier), and 450 minutes to landlines. Then of course add the $30/mo smartphone.

Anyway, so I phoned in my order with Verizon directly. I also got the price lowered from $199 to $149 by asking they match Amazon.com. He checked with supervisor and matched it. I would have just ordered from Amazon if the special promotion plan was available online, but it wasn't (from Verizon's site or Amazon's).

On the phone he told me I would receive an order confirmation "immediately", and then a second email once the phone ships. I've received zero emails so far, and am wondering, should I be concerned? I checked, and they have already debited my credit card, so it wasn't like the order was lost or something.

Last, has anyone here that ordered on or after 9/5 received their phone yet? He told me it would ship by the 15th, but I see some people are getting their phone a lot earlier than they quoted.

To Mike, I would just keep checking your email for the next few days. If you still recieve no confirmation email by then I would call in and just say that you ordered your phone a few days ago, and was told you would recieve a confirmation email immediately and you haven't, but the money has been taken out of your account. I'm sure they'll help you.

And...the phone is only two hours away....now I'm not saying I'd drive to get it, because I don't know where in the world is Sandston, VA is, but it's sooo close. Can't wait!!!

I ordered my phone on the 31st of August. It's projected to get here on the 13th, but I most likely won't be getting it unless they deliver it in the evening since I have my college classes all day that day. I ordered online from Verizon, since my local store refused to order it online for me saying it was no different that if I myself did it even though it was my first time doing it.

Now all I'm worried about it them giving me grief about transferring everything off of the Micro SD card for my Envy 3 to the new for the Droid X, but I was told by the store manager that they could do it.

I finally made the plunge to buy a DX last Wednesday (9/8) after researching it for a few days. I got it for $149 per Verizon online-ordering, and am very happy with the price for what I'm getting. My shipping date is 9/21 but I'm hoping it will be sooner after reading a lot of these posts!

BTW, I'm making the transition from Palm to Android [finally!]. I've been so unhappy with my current smart (dumb) phone, a Palm 755p and am looking forward to the HUGE screen and fast processor of the DX - not to mention all the apps and other abilities it has, and my monthly bill will be going down as well, about $25 a month, which means my DX will pay for itself in 6 months...

Been lurking around this forum for a while (first post!), still a bit new to the "Droid" thing, but happy I made the purchase! I only have to deal with the Palm crapphone for another week and a half...

I don't think it'll be delivered today because it's Saturday and it won't be delivered on Sunday cause idk think that Verizon alloyed for that. I mean I'm not certain on that and any members who received their phones on a Saturday or a Sunday with 2 day shipping please chime in. I just don't know if they do it without someone specifying for it on the order.
