On the AT&T line on which I am now using my Streak, I used to have a non-smartphone with AT&T's $15 unlimited "feature phone" data plan.
When I put this SIM into my Streak, WiFi obviously worked fine, but I was unable to connect to the cellular data network. I assumed that this was an APN issue and that AT&T was detecting my IMEI, recognizing that I was not using a smartphone, and denying me data service as I do not have the appropriate plan. (This still surprised me, as I have heard rumors of people using the $15 unlimited plan in my scenario with success.)
However, after upgrading to the the appropriate PDA plan ($25 2GB smartphone plan), I am still unable to connect to the cellular data network.
I have tried rebooting, have ensured that data is enabled, and even enabled data roaming, but still no luck.
I using a rooted Streak, running 1.6.
Thoughts?
