Not open for further replies.
So for anyone who has the team black hat app, there is a new version of froyo on it. Not sure if it is ever gonna be released for non-buyers

Here is a link from aohus of the REMOVED
To install
1) reboot recovery
2) mount system
3) install zip

Here is a nandroid from Retrokid223 with the newest build.prop edits, REMOVED

To install put in folder /clockworkmod/backup and restore it in recovery

D13, since this is only available to people that buy their app, isn't it the same as posting warez? If you have to purchase to get this, then you are posting pirated material. P3Droid has been taking down every download link he can find, so I'd probably take the link out if I were you.

Just lookin' out for ya man.

Yeah, P3 has been on a war path. Its just a matter of time before he gets here lol. It was funny actually, I was reading threads last night, and then 5 mins later the links would all be gone! So prob best just to get rid of it ya know.. You're a good member, and I didnt want to see you get into any drama.

then go into your manage application and click on bootstrap and click clear data.... if you have rom manager installed do the same.. then go into app drawer and click on bootstrap and click bootstrap again.. reboot and it should work. please report back

Nope still a no go. To be clear clicking reboot recovery in droid x bootloader works. Just switchpro doesn't although I've never had a problem with it before.

Also tried clearing data for switchpro, but still a no go.

Its totally confusing now what the most recent update actually is, and how to go from 2.1 update one to the most recent build, with everything working properly.

There probably needs to be a new clean thread with working links, and proper complete instructions.

maybe...I will think about doing one if nobody else steps up to do it
and also the new froyo can't be linked yet so...

the process is so easy though, its like 5 steps and if done with no problems takes 10 min or less

Now THIS post is BS. You can't call posting their ROM an activity equal to posting "warez". They don't own the code in the first place, they're charging so you can download code that's copyright and owned by Motorola.

Them posting it to begin with is illegal and now they wanna go on a "war path" to have other people take it down when it's posted? Forget that.

Everyone should post their releases when they come out, they shouldn't be allowed to charge for things like this.

If you're not allowed to post their releases, then don't post ANYBODY'S releases, Motorola's official, other custom ROMs, etc. 'cuz it's all the same.

I don't need a hug at all, but this type of behavior is uncalled for.

I can understand if they put the app on the Market as a method to get donations for distributing their leak and their work, but it shouldn't be a requirement to pay them for leaks and ROM tweaks. That goes too far. Especially when all of their code is based off of someone else's copyrighted works.

It's no different than a guy getting a leaked copy of a game, say Halo Reach, or maybe a Halo Reach DLC add-on, then making an Android Market app and putting it up for sale before it's released. What they're doing is illegal in every way, so no one can come around and say "Oh, you should take that leaked ROM down because they put a bunch of work into getting it for you and you should totally buy the app and download the pirated file directly."

Either post it up for everyone, donations optional, or don't post it up at all.

In fact, here's another link to the update.zip someone posted earlier:

REMOVED

Don't let them pull that stuff. You guys start doing that, then everybody will start doing that, and the Android community will be a lot worse off.

The ONLY person/company who has the right to demand it to not be posted is Motorola, possibly Google since it includes some of their apps... that's it.

You are correct, this is NOT WAREZ, and no links should be taken down.
The leak is just that, a leak of a Verizon test ROM, or perhaps Moto, but leaked software nonetheless.
It is not anyones original work other that Google, Verizon, Moto.
If it was a ROM Developers personally modded tweaked themed built ROM, then it would be inappropriate.
I feel that leaks should always be given to the community for free if someone gets ahold of one, its better for the community. Anyways...I have installed and works fine...no significant changes from. 13 I have seen.

Also guys we can appreciate Team Black Hat and their work on tranquility and that should never be mirrored and they can charge for that as they please, but let's not encourage the trend of charging for leaks.
Here is another mirror:

I totally agree its wrong of what he is doing, I was just not comfortable with calling someone else's post BS, thats all. I am in no way trying to start anything
