About to go purchase a Droid X. Any advice?

About to go purchase (order) my new Droid X from Verizon. Any advice or things you wish you would have known before you purchased yours? Any accessories that you would recommend?

I don't really have any advice beyond definitely going and buying it as soon as you possibly can.

As far as protection goes, I've been sticking with the PhantonSkinz stuff for my last several phones. It's definitely proven it's worth to me. This time around I went with the black carbon fiber skin for the Droid X. Normally I just get the clear kits.

Oh, and I always recommend getting a second battery. They don't take up much space and it's nice to know that if you power through one battery that you've got a back up.

Speaking of cases, which ones are recommended?

I haven't selected a case yet. Should receive my replacement X on thursday this week...

I bought the Verizon Droid X belt holster and do not like it. It requires two hands to get the phone in or out of the holster because of a huge spring-loaded clip that wraps around the camera portion of the phone.

Two hand operation is not cool while driving and you get a call or message.

Now I'm using a cheap belt leather case made for the Evo but oddly enough happened to fix the X just fine.

Buy in store-- pay more and wait for the mail in rebate. Buy online-- instant rebate and free overnight shipping and no idiot from Verizon touching and putting something on your phone you dont need. Also, dont but any hard covers or belt clips, they could scratch your phone. All accessories needed could be bought on e-bay for less than half the cost from Verizon. I bought a Motorola droid case that Verizon charges 29.99 and e-bay has the same one for 3.95 shipped and got in 3 days.
