Downloaded just fine, but it's been at the Moto logo for about 15 mins. How long are you guys seeing it take before that passes?

Update: After about 20 minutes, and the Moto logo staying on the screen (except it was timing out and going black), I did a battery pull, and it seems to be working fine now.

the phone seems to be running but the screen is frozen with the motorola logo =\
arg. can't see a thing other than the motorola logo. any fixes?

For me it stayed at the droid eye for a long time. But I don't think the moto logo took too long.

Adb or root explorer but who knows you may lose root anyway.

Any chance I'll be able to do birdman .zip on the first leaked 2.2? Unrooted. (i rushed in and did the update before thinking about keeping root and prefer to avoid flashing the sbf

If you installed a theme and/or removed bloatware, it will fail. You /system partition needs to be exactly as it was from the factory (stock)

Edit: just noticed that I have Adobe flash, Quickoffice and VZ Navigator. What quickoffice?

You posted earlier that you removed .apk's that came preinstalled. That is why.

poop on a stick - so I assume then that i either have to hard reset to restore those crappware apps, and try again, or do the update by hand?
