Either I have spent way too much time at school today or I am just not making the connection, but WHAT?!?!?!?!?!? :D :D :D

You wanted to say "ouR", but you typed "ouT". In other words, you and The_Chief could wipe out all wisdom and expertise if you two work together. I thought it was funny. And you ogtta love the way I turned Freudian slip into DROIDian slip. ;)

Okay, so I installed this ROM this morning and have to admit, it's pretty kick-ass.

One issue I'm having is with the Voice Search, however. If I try to use the "send email" or "send text" commands, it FC's after figuring out who I want to send the message to, when I hit the little microphone (where you'd speak the body of the message).

Can somebody confirm if this is working for them or not?

Thanks!

I just tried this on mine and it does the same thing. The first voice command works fine, but if you tap the Mic Icon the app FCs.

The only suggestion I have seen is to try re-loading the Google App (Voice Search), but on mine it doesn't give you the option of un-installing it to re-install it. Anyone else have this issue?

Hey all, I have had this rom since Sept. 7th, and I have tried 3 Kernels, the one that came stock with it, a chevyno1 1.1ghz ulowV 7slot, and a slayher 7 slot 1000mhz LV (v1.6) my current. I also have W'D for UD8 installed (awesome btw). For some reason, my battery life since this awesome rom has been installed has been AWFUL. By that, I charge it every evening when I go to bed, when I get up, I usually have notifications, and I will check my facebook, email and texts, about 10 minutes of actual use, and my battery will already be to 90%. I generally cant mess with my phone at work, but if I do, its no more than incoming emails, and maybe 10-15 texts, and reading some headlines in my RSS reader. Totalling at most 30 minutes.
By that point the battery is down to 60%. I have a desk dock at work, and without it, there is no way the phone would make it through the day on a charge. When I installed I also wiped Dalvik cache and battery stats, and have let it die to shut down 1 time so the system could gauge the battery. I upgraded to it from UD 7, but did a full wipe (of boot, system, cache, and data, 3 times each) I know thats a bit excessive but its the only way I save myself from issues. I keep my max setting in Set CPU @ 900mhz.
In advanced I have it set to 32500 for sampling rate, my up threshold at 70% and 0 for ignore and 0 for powersave bias. Its my understanding powersave bias limits max CPU speed. (redundant for the slider)
The phone never gets uncomfortably warm, as it has in the past with other roms, noticeable, but not scary. Anyway, my refreshes for weather/news are set to 4 hours, Gmail is 30 min, Facebook is 1 hour, and twitter is 1 hour. Signal is good where I work, I get full bars.
So, is it possible my battery is giving up the ghost after 6 months? Or is there a kernel that may be better for me, or is there something else I should be doing?
Thanks for suggestions.

Loving this ROM. It's the best Froyo ROM I've ever used. But....

I am having a few issues. Are these isolated or are you guys having these problems?

-Data connection randomly shuts off. I still have cell signal but 3G just disappears, sometimes for a few minutes at a time.

-GPS sometimes won't obtain a lock (even while outdoors in clear view of the sky). I get endless 'Searching for GPS' (for several minutes). A reboot usually resolves this.

-The Market is often extremely slow, or doesn't respond at all.

I'd say the data connection problem is the biggest issue.

So after being off the charger for 8 hours today, my phone says it is sitting at 90% battery left. That is with a bit of mild texting and some web browsing. It is either wrong, or the best battery life I have ever gotten on a ROM before. Used to be I'd come home from work and my battery would already be down to at least 50-60%. I am using the same Slayher 1.2 kernel I've been using on my other Froyo ROMs, but none of them even came close to this stated battery life even just idling.

I used to call BS every time I seen someone state they're getting 2+ days out of their battery, as I was never able to achieve that on anything, but now I'm thinking I finally found the lucky ROM that will do it for me.

Specifically, which Slayher kernel are you using? Which version? And LV or SV?

I am sure a lot of you know this already..but my .02...

I have been running UD for about 3 days now and man is it amazing..there is only one thing that makes it better and that is throwing the Watermark'd theme on top of it! Stewart1Champ has really done a GREAT job with that theme..you can check it out here:

http://androidforums.com/droid-roms/132383-theme-watermarkd-multiple-roms-multiple-options.html

Please check it out, I am sure I will check out new roms as they come out..like Bugless .5 which was recently released..but I am also sure I will always be rocking Watermark'd and will more than likely keep going back to UD..

Dont know why there are so many people that dont like BlackDroid, and dont know why really...but he does great work!

In case anyone cares (which I have a feeling a few people do) UD 9 will be out tomorrow. Blackdroid has been under the weather which is why we haven't seen it yet but tomorrow is the day! (All according to the UD facebook page)

Also before I forget the Bug Tracker site is also up and running as well. This is very promising as UD has stated that he can create fixes for bugs in between releases.

The black facebook and twitter widgets I can think of are in Luancherpro Plus. Not sure if that is what you are talking about. I use them and I like them alot.

Is anyone having trouble with Chrome to Phone on this??? I can't get mine to work on this ROM. Any help would be appreciated.

I think he is talking about the inverted facebook and twitter in LFY.

I wished UD had the inverted apps as well. A lot easier to read with a dark background.

This may be burried in this thread, but is anyone having problems with Twitter? The widget stopped updating even though it was set to every 15min. And, I couldn't update to the newest version. Tried deleting and found out it was moved to /system. I then deleted the .apk through Root Manager and tried to download it again from the Market. Now it says again "installation unsuccessful". Anyone know how to fix this? I'm not too keen on any of the other Twitter clients but I guess I'll try one if I have to.

Try downloading the updated twitter .apk from the internet (you probably can google it) and then use root explorer to copy it to /system/app. Fix the permissions to r-r-rw and reboot. Give that a shot it ususally works for me!
