Launcher Pro was removed from the stock ROM. It is included in all of the themes.

Why? Is LP less stable than ADW?

I like LP better..but with my fresh flash of 1.6 I am considering settling for the stock ADW launcher..:(

edit: one more questoin.. at every reboot.. weatherbug gets stuck in loading data. I want weatherbug..ive always had it on my phone..but with this rom (my last lfy was 1.5) weatherbug seems to load at every reboot this way. How can I disable this?

I think I found a bug, can anyone confirm?
When I hold the search key and said "text, XXXX" then it pulls up a txt message with XXXX in the receiving address bar. On the bottom right corner is a microphone to dictate the rest of the message. If I click that I get a force close every time.

Is this fixable? I can live with it not working but wanted to see if it's my phone or the rom.

Uninstall the Voice Search app. Reboot. Got to the market and download the voice search app and reinstall.

I wanted to restore my phone to an earlier time and date like I have many times so, I reboot into recovery via ROM Manager (everything seems fine so far)...after searching around in recovery mode on my sd card (I shouldn't have had to search) bcuz I knew where all my backups were saved at, I was unable to locate any of them where they should be! Any ideas what might i have done???

Well all of your backups are stored where you initially saved them.
However, IF you formatted your SD card them they are gone.

You can verify this by taking out your card, and inserting it into
an adapter that will let it be inserted into the normal sized SD card slot
your computer takes. (only if you cannot view files from the
recovery menu) If they aren't there then:thinking:

I was trying to restore my phone to a previous backup using ROM Manager (same as above), I attempted to boot into recovery however this go around I cannot get past the Motorola Logo boot screen...what have i done wrong???

This second part started after i pressed "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery" while inside ROM Manager app...did I screw this up by doing that

If your recovery is already flashed to clockwork why
feel the need to flash it again? Did you attempt to use
SPREcovery for some other reason? -Not saying SPREcovery isn't good
but for LFY Clockwork has been tested to work (as I said previously)

What other methods have you tried to get your phone to boot up?
Did you try searching via google?

searching easy terms like "Droid stuck at M logo" will give you
results to check out...:)

If you haven't take the battery out, wait a minute, then
reinsert it, power on the phone with the keyboard slid out
and hold down X (power doesn't need to be held down)

What happens?
Have you tried the volume buttons trick?

Google, rinse and repeat;)
You'll figure it out.

Hey there Sig (If you dont mind),

Take it you been busy past few days eh? Haven't heard much from ya...nice to have you back! Lol...I actually was able to get this fixed all in one shot and what was happening was prob #2 was causing prob#1 or vice versa!

As far as the backups...they were there when connected via usb to my pc however, going thru ROM Managers regular Bup/Restore process, I could not find them bcuz they were hidden behind an additional folder that was unnecessary on my sd card (so i was told) but I removed the folder and was able to see them where I couldnt previously but I dont feel this to be the root of that problem!

I strongly believe that the issue above was caused by RM malfunctioning a bit...so to fix this issue I flashed alternate recovery and was able to boot into SPRecovery...then I flashed to CWM over SPR and then everything worked fine and still does...I think, do to RM malfunctions, is why I was unable to view/find the backup files bcuz I didnt change anything on my sd card prior to these problems arising so, this leads me back to believing RM malfunctioned not only in failure to reboot into CWM recovery but the program in general...follow me?

All is well now but I am getting ready to start from scratch again (wipe/clear...clean install) just for the heck of it and to gain the experience...the more i do this the more knowledge I gain!

Thanks for responding, nice to hear from you! :D

If you have any advice you want to share...im all ears!

Oh..wait...there is the volume buttons trick you mention?? I am unaware of this trick and yes I can prolly look it up but if you want to send me a PM on this I am putting together a guide that i am going to share with everywhere here in the next few days (more like 5-7) when I return from Denver, heading out tomorrow! Got a Colts game to attend so I can witness a Colt whoopin up on a Bronco! LOL

Thanks bro!

Is anyone else having issues with Chrome 2 Phone in this release? I just noticed it isn't working for me anymore. I click it on my browser, and it says it sent to my phone, but I never get it on my phone. I confirmed that it is running and configured properly on both my phone and browser and it used to work before this last flash.

I downloaded a terminal emulator and typed in the script but did not remove the program. Just said access denied. Any ideas?
Did you type SU first?
Open terminal emulator, type su
the $ should change to # and you should get a notice that
'Terminal Emulator has been granted Superuser permissions'
then run the scripts
when done type exit

Is there a way to dump the launchers? Get random force closes with ADW and I just did not like launcher pro. Would like to see a stock launcher option.

Other than that this rom is great!

-posted from my liquified Droid

You could give Zeam a shot. It is built by one of the developers on XDA. It is super light with not many options for customizing. It is super fast and I have never had any glitches with it. It is very similar in features to the early versions of Launcher Pro before it became so bloated.

first 5 star rating i have issued out. I havent had any problems with this rom. Ive had one FC with Launcher Pro. One. and ive had this rum for over a week now. running it wmrk'd with slayers 1.1 lv. I keep it clocked around 800 to 1k [1.1 when i want to show off ; ) ]and its still blazes through all my usage. Batt life is straight too.. not super, but its last me throughout the day. I underclock when screen is off and i even use the conservative governer option and the phone still is fast enough. Great job on this one liquid!!
