Accessories Got an HTC 1500mah battery today.

Jeez, that is better than I've ever gotten and I thought my battery life was pretty good. What's your secret?

I don't have any widgets that I don't use regularly. No facebook, friendfeed, battery widgets. I have updating set to 6 hours for my weather and if I need it then I update manually. I always check to see what is running and shut off what I don't need like vlingo safe reader unless I am driving. Typically the only services shown running are Smooth Calendar, Calendar, Google messaging service, sync service and swiftkey. I have my mail updated once a day. As soon as I'm done using my phone I turn the display off. Oh yeah. I keep wifi on unless I am out in the car.

The time I noted was time the phone was used at home. If I am out and about the battery life decreases faster because I am not on wifi and my phone is always searching for a signal. I am hoping that with the 1500 battery that I can go out for 5 hours without killing it.

Yes the door snaps close, you just have to go around the entire phone on all corners and sides, mine closes fine, I don't see any gaps.

I do have some creeky near the optical button but since I don't use the optical button it doesn't bother me.

I have everything snapped, and I don't see or feel any gaps. The only thing is the "creaky" noise I hear when I touch the right side of the phone. It comes from the extended battery cover (obviously....and it's only the right side (when facing the phone).

My god it's so dang annoying.

Here is a picture to give you an idea where exactly it comes from:

im not worried about biggger battery I want it just so the back door doesnt creek!, does the 1500 fit without any gaps and everything nice and easily or does it have to be forced. i can live with stock if it needs to be forced. but if not i need this.

Any hairline gaps or creaking I had at first with my 1500 has long since disappeared. I think it takes a few days for the battery to settle in or for the cover to form itself around the 1500.

Was going to get my Bidallies 1500mah battery but then I found this. 35.00 (38.00 shipped) for 2 1800mah Batteries (awesome!) + wall charger (meh).

Amazon.com: Sprint HTC EVO 4G 2x1800 mAh Battery Longer life than OEM+ Wall Travel Dock USB Charger also for Verizon Incredible Droid Touch Pro2: Cell Phones & Accessories

One of the reviewers (has the Evo 4G) even did a mah test saying this:
"I have an battery mah tester and I can tell many companies claim there batteries have certain mah but dont Stock 1500mah seido 1750mah and this battery 1800mah I tested all three Seido mah was 1340, Stock battery was 1414mah, and this 1800mah battery at 1730mah, which is great with this battery I'm getting 20-24hours with average use. An huge difference is when I take my phone off the charger usually the other batteries drop from 100%-90% within a couple of minutes, but with this battery that problem no longer exist sometimes I can go 2-4hrs before reaching 90%."

those numbers sound pretty good to me, some other reviewers are using them with their DIncs and are happy so I figured I'd give it a try. And as a plus it's a red battery like the stock one so on a icing on the cake level that makes me happy. I'll follow up with updates to let everyone know what my numbers are like.

Does this fit with the stock back cover?

just got the batteries in the mail today and it turns out the have a store where you can get a single battery for $15 vs the 2 pack with charger for $35

HTC - HTCEXPRESS

I think that link will take you straight to the HTC batteries.

**PICTURES**
So I guess they aren't OEM like the Bidallies but I am still willing to give it a try. Here are some initial pictures showing size. I can say that the battery cover is snugger on there, but if you start from the top and work your way down and then around it fits back on with minor-no gap, I maybe in one part have a 1/128" of a gap, in other words it very minor and not a big deal, I suspect it'll settle the rest of the way and never be an issue. *fingers crossed*
Another thing worth noting is the lens doesn't stick out as much. might be a big deal for some. Anyways on with the pics.
