Root GAOSP Froyo Nightly Builds

i just tried to install the latest gaosp nightly build, but i didn't reboot before installing the gapps.

now the system is stuck at the Galaxy AOSP spalsh screen, and if i try to boot in recovery or fastboot mode it just does normal boot (so it's stuck).

does anybody have sugestions?

thanks in advance.

never mind, i managed somehow to boot in recovery!

I have to understand something - Do everyone prefer latest nightly over 1.6.3.4??
I installed the latest nightly twice, and both times i want back to 1.6.3.4 in a day or two.
The latest nightly is not that smooth, and especially extremely slow in the market, from my point of view it cannot be compared to 1.6.3.4.

And i tried playing around with the settings - compcache (50000), heap size(32), overclock (620/710)...

hey all, i need your help, i have been reading all morning and cant seem to find a solution in the forums... I had GAOSP nightly installed and i liked it but it is too laggy and too many force closes for me, so i want to go back to Galaxo... however even though i have made a nandroid backup everytime i did anything, when i try to restore by backup of the Galaxo v. that was working great... I get an error message as such...

E: Cant mount INTERNAL:
E: Failure at line 328:
copy_dir PACKAGE:data INTERNAL:
Sync data.... Installation failed

I have tried doing it remotely through the command line and alsor an into troubles, as well as trying to load the image of the nandroid backup, but alas still no luck.

I am lost, i have been learning more and more about this android stuff and i like it however, i guess i am not fully advanced yet... lol

Would really like to have this resolved... To all my fellow canadians, Happy ThanksGiving,

Thanks

Well, I was very pleased with the last nightly. Ran smooth, I like the new features, camera working, etc. I think it worked well for about a day. Then, on Saturday, when I was driving to Berlin, I tried to use GPS. I have the impression that this triggered some bad spirits inside the phone, as it started to reboot every couple of minutes. Oh, and GPS didn't work, apparently. So I reverted back to Galaxo. Pity, I really like 2.2. I might try it out again today.

Same here... latest galaxo with dark sense theme is just too perfect, to be replaced with current version of gaosp :).
With default clock speed, gaosp was practically useless on my phone. When I overclock it to 710 mhz and used compcache, speed improvement was great...but still...not even close to galaxo.
Other than speed issue, gaosp is working great and I really hope drakaz can tune it up so much it will be responsive as galaxo.
