Might be old news. UK Release Date

Two batteries' charges follow up is a tough task for me pal. Every day follow which one is full which is not, then replace and charge again and again.... That's why I am waiting to decide Iphone 4 or DHD :D

Fair play.

Just think, the Nokia 8800 came with 2 batteries as standard!.

I don't want a rubber dildo around the edges of my phone to make a call..Also battery not removable which = FAIL.

Stick to android ;)

Maybe here is not the place here but in Turkey that signal problem is not a big deal, maybe that's why our carriers' give to much signal to us and cancer is close ha ha ha :)

My wife also using Iphone 3Gs which I jailbrake :) and I know very well it has got too much battery consuming, that's why I guess Apple made Iphone 4 much more durable (40% more than 3Gs as far as I remember).

As a matter of fact, I was going for an Iphone 4 until a collegue in the company shares his HTC Desire and its applications, then I tried to search Android and I accept that Anroid is really awesome and attactive even though Apple has got much more apps (especially support from local media here). Yet, Desire HD battery consuming will be critical for me. I don't want to give lots of money to a device which puts me in always carrying a 2nd battery everywhere I go.

I hope HTC will be right with their claim that the DHD's battery will last more then Desire.

MPD are now advertising the Desire HD as being delivered within 14 days... A little bit better than the 26 days they were showing on Tuesday, although my promised update email within 48 hours hasn't materialised. I placed my order on the 29th when they were promising delivery within 10 days, so I was originally hoping to have the handset befoe this weekend.

It wouldn't suprise me if the Vodafone exclusive launch rumours were true, that would explain why vodafone are still claiming delivery on the 14th.

I just ordered mine from Amazon. With next day delivery it says
Delivery estimate: 26 Oct 2010.

Makes me wonder if I should have gone for free delivery as obviously they aren't going to send it out 2nd class post at that value, but knowing Amazon they would just wait 3 days and then send it out next day special delivery.

Yeah I noticed that too, I'm trying to disregard that date totally for the simple reason of it changing too much!.

I just keep logging into my account and checking my order status.

same here cliche-was also told by mpd i would get an email and i havent so far

Out of 4 years dealing with them, I have to have a problem with them now haha.

Is it not possible to contact Amazon so you can make that change?

Hi, up to 20%, doesnt come into it, thats why i was talking about rooting, Customised Roms like leedroid, work there magic, so you get a better performence, and experience, than the Stock Android Rom with sence,

As soon as i receive the new phone, if i know how to i will post pics up, let me know what u want the picture of to proove its genuine,

All of you people waiting 26 days etc, etc, im not sure but i think they are doing this to cover themselves, it says 26 days, but im sure you will get them earlier, when i got told of the week delay, i was gutted, but iv got a feeling next week it will turn up.

Good to see HTCSence is now live, we just need our phones!!!

Thats BS...and you know it!.

Can you honestly tell me that if you had GPS, wireless, music playing and making recieving calls you will get the same battery life as you would out of one not using any of those features..c'mon..this is flawed logic there!!.

This is the same user that says they have a sample, and yet when we asked for proof it goes into a black hole...you are as convincing so far as a politician and that's putting it nice!.

Out of your whole post, that is probably the best thing and most intelligent. I don't think any company wants a confirmed date as the stock is so limited and people are wanting them.

Hi, one question, do you root your phone ?

Because your reply points out that you dont, ANYONE who roots, and uses Leedroid, knows how much better the phone is.

also something i must point out is that all my phones i buy are all sim free, thats also a plus,

I dont have my sample anymore, no need to have it, can someone reply letting me know how i post a pic on here please.

You somehow managed to miss the ENTIRE point.

It doesn't matter what ROM you put on, at the end of the day, features still use battery power, all a ROM can do is TRY to manage the resource better.

Its like a car, A diesel car can do atleast 500 miles minimum, but if someone just puts the foot down constantly, you may struggle to get 450 miles...THE POINT IS, ITS DOWN TO HOW THE END USER USES THE RESOURCES

I wager that you never had a sample to begin with and I bet a couple on here would easily argue the same as everything that you get quoted on, isn't backed up by any source or evidence.

...Anyway if you want to talk about rooting the device, surely this would more wise to put it into a new thread as this is about release info ;)

ive jsut had an email from mpd

bit vague says i'll be one of the first to receive a phone we are expecting it to be with you in the next 15 days we will update you further next week

Yeah I got the email assuming you mean this one
Got the exact same reply:mad:

Why are they taking soooooo looooong!!

Possibly be delivered sooner??

Its rumoured Vodafone have the exclusivity for a couple of weeks so that will be a block...Not to mention there will be demand for it too!.

Delivered sooner?...Long as I get it before I go to Hong Kong, couldn't care less!
