I too have recently begun using CELB v3.0 and am loving it. I feel like a lot of ROMs get popular due to the amount of different "versions" that get put out... I guess I'm realizing that more does not necessarily mean better. I think this will be my default ROM for a while and I encourage anyone who hasn't tried it out to do so. Also, Conap is responsible for different kernals that other developers use as well as fixes to trackball/LED notifications, etc. Great developer, great ROM. Now if it would only stop raining in Boston.....

Stop raining? It was dry all summer! We've been on water restrictions here for two months! I'll take a few days of rain mid-week, thanks very much! ;)

Back on topic, I really like CELB, though, of course, we all have our little complaints (i.e., why ROM Manager, why Amazon MP3 etc.?) Those are easy enough to fix, of course. Big thanks to Conap for developing such a great, stable ROM.

What is this rain thing you are speaking about?

[speaking as someone from central Indiana...anyone need a dead lawn? At least I haven't had to mow for two months...]

I think Conap includes those because he wants to stay as close to stock CM as possible, and those come with it.

I too wouldn't mind not having to get rid of those, but it's nothing Ti backup can't fix.

You are correct. I do not add or remove any apps. I prefer to leave it to the user to edit to how they want it...i've always felt that was the point of root anyway....although Rom manager does have a usefull option to fix permissions which can sometimes help with apps that force close. Thanks for all the nice recommendations in this thread. I don't get as many posts in my rom thread so I figure no one is using it or there's less bugs for people to report lol...either way is fine with me. I just try to contribute what I can to the community.

Just loaded my first Froyo ROM - Nonsensikal v8.8. I just found all of the color tweaks for the status bar and font in the settings. Wow! A bit overwhelming. I switched from Sensable ROM and the battery life is a ton better. The phone is so smooth.

Can someone give me advice on wireless tethering? In the Sensable ROM, there was an app to launch. Haven't found it with this Froyo ROM yet.

Also, I'm assuming that Nonsensikal is overlocked? My previous ROMs came with SetCPU.

Thanks!

Just download the wireless tether for root users app in the market. Yes i beleive that rom is default at 710. If you want to change it you can get overclock widget in market or get setcpu and install it....

I am also a CELB convert because of the encouraging words in this thread. I have tried them all and gave all of them plenty of time to settle in on my phone, and I have now decided to stay with Conap's for the future. It just runs. That is really all I can say. I too got caught up in the theme stuff, but with the status bar color changes in CM, I now see it really isn't needed.

Thanks Conap for a great ROM. Fast and reliable on my phone with great battery life. :)

I think I voted too soon. I switched from KaosFroyo 35-1 to Nonsensikal 8.2. I loved Nonsensikal, it was smooth and fast, had no problems. Then I gave KF 36 a try. It was great until I had the problem with the headphone jack. Major deal breaker for me as I use my phone to play music in my car all the time. So I went to CELB. I absolutely love this ROM. It is fast, super smooth, and no problems what so ever. I think I have found a new home.

I change my vote to CELB, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a change.

Thank you CONAP for making such a great ROM.

i just flashed Nonsensikal v4.4, it seems pretty cool so far.

one thing tho, not sure if it's because there's different colors,
but i keep getting a "Camera stopped responding" error when
i try to place my own image as a wallpaper.

i love the slide to the right to unlock, instead of down, but
when i enable a lock pattern, it asks for the pattern right
away instead of unlocking first, then the pattern. this will
take a little bit to get used to.

also, i was hoping to see Angry Birds in the market now
that i'm on Froyo, but it's not there. but other 2.2 only
apps are showing up in the market. not that big of a
deal, just found that weird.

So I'm installing Celeb 3.0 right now. I searched for a dedicated thread on AF but it seems that the ROM has never received more love than it has gotten right in this thread.

So here's a question: Is this ROM overclocked by default? I never installed any OC apps on Kaos because the 710/248 default worked just fine for me.

That is exactly what CELB is clocked to by default.

Yes. 245/710 are the defaults.

If there is one thing which will make me go back to a 2.1 ROM, though, it is the "rild" segfault problem which seems to affect every Froyo or CM5/6 ROM. (This is the "call appears to drop, but it didn't" behavior). Drives me nuts; after all, the Eris is a phone first, and everything else afterward.

Oh crap, I think mine does that. Where you hear the "dong" like it dropped the call and the screen acts like it hung up but the person is still on the line wondering why you are cursing at your phone?
