Amazing ROM, but I have a few questions:

1) How do I get the dock to look on the one in the screenshots? Currently it just looks like a colored version of the Froyo dock.

2) Is there a way to turn off the haptic feedback when you unlock your phone? I hate that.

EDIT:

3) I was wondering if theres a way to disable the haptic feedback when you pull up the DockBar too? If you can't tell I'm not a big haptic feedback fan.

4) How do I get the special widgets screen and folders you see in the video? It seems like this is a completely different launcher. Some of this stuff was the whole reason I even downloaded the ROM.

5) The FM Radio isn't working for me. I'm guessing that it's not supposed to work because I don't think the Droid has an FM tuner in it... but if someone else got it working could they tell me how?

6) Is there a way to make the icons bigger on the home screen? I like it better with the text disabled under the icons, but without the text the icons look too small.

I don't have any haptic feedback on the lockscreen, I just disabled in it settings. The FM tuner doesn't work. Not sure what you mean about making the icons larger..they are pretty darn big IMO.

It sounds like you have flashed an older version of the ROM (because you have the FM tuner. It's been removed in recent versions). I'd suggest flashing this ROM:

MiUI Alpha

I think it will alleviate your issues. There were haptic feedback issues and backlight display issues at first release, the fixes are added to metickones alpha release.

Awesome, thanks. In the process of installing that right now. Hopefully this will be the end of my troubles; I'll edit this or make a new reply if I'm still having problems.

EDIT: Everything is working perfectly. Thanks a ton for that link, I really appreciate it a lot.

Np. Glad I could help. MetiCkOne has been releasing updates just about daily so keep checking back. You can just install the updates over your current setup. He kept the stock MIUI bootanimation for some reason..if you need help changing it let me know.

Hey emdmao, does MetiCkOne's version allow you to access the SD Card & Phone storage settings menu in device settings without force closing?

That's the only thing that really bothers me about Zenulator's V2.

I flashed one of MetiCkOne's versions but his choice to remove of Car Home bothered me so I flashed back to Zen's. I could install it from the Market but it was impossible to get an icon for it to appear on the home screen. Not that big of an issue but it rubbed me the wrong way for some reason.

Not emdmao, but nope you still can't access the SD Card & Phone storage but his latest 0.2.1 now includes the Car Home app with the icon.

I dunno, I can pretty much see Zen's side of things. He took something built for another device and recoded it to work on the Droid. It seems like once he had his build out there were others that were tweaking it, then putting it out as their's, another damn ultimate droid all over again.

All I know is I dont want this ROM to go away or stop being worked on, it has me excited about using my droid again as I was actually thinking about using one my lines available to upgrade to something different.

Agreed! This ROM has so much potential. How hard is it to give credit where credit is due? I think it did something really big though, and that was showing some of the dev's some new tricks to use to really do something different. After what I'm seeing with Tmobile trying to lock Android down, I'm digging my Droid more and more.

I too am curious if anyone else got this working...also, does anyone know if this is a MIUI ROM exclusive app?? I am running Bugless Beast V.04 but would love some kind of FM Radio app like this...

Not ready for primetime yet, but definitely worth playing around with. I like that this ROM tries to do its complete own thing/feel, rather than just sticking with android 101. I like to see ROMs go into a new world, and MIUI is unlike anything else (holistically speaking). It's sort of an all star team with the best features from touch wiz, iOS, sense, etc.

Hi guys, i need some help with performance issues im having with this rom. Im an incredible owner and have the rom running no problem but my wife has the droid and thats where my problems begin.

She had a completley stock droid ota 2.2. I rooted it and installed the sprecovery.

I then copied the rom linked at the begining of this thread and renamed it update.zip and flashed. Then flashed the all in one fixes and the smoked glass dialer. The rom is running okay apart from vety poor battery life. Should i of flashed a different rom first or somthing?

I wiped data and cache before installing too.

So should i flash a different version of the rom like the alpha version mentioned earlier or a different base load before or both.

Thanks in advance!!

A few people have recommended flashing SS 4.8 and then flashing MIUI over top of it... I did it that way, and it worked out beautifully! Quite a bit of extra work, but it might be worth it...

1. Check out caveman's link above, that version is MUCH improved (you are really missing the heart of the ROM by not having the stock phone and sms apps in the version you have installed)

2. Some people have experienced better performance by not using setcpu

There is also a Hybrid version that has the changelog here:

Thanks Caveman and emdmao, im downloading D1-MIUI-0.9.30-V3.2.zip now. I switched roms on my incredible from IncDoes 0.2 to Nix's version 9.3 somthing and liked the difference so fingers crossed.

The wife actually likes the smoked glass dialer but she may change her mind, i love the default miui dialer!

I noticed the kernal it was using was 2.6.32 - lowv 1.1GHz Chevyno1 #3

Q1.) Is that an overclocked kernal and could that be why the battery life was so bad?

Question 2, which i will find out in a second when i flash this puppy is, does this version have a different kernal, or is there one you recommend.

Anyway, many thanks again, time to FLASH!

I think the MIUI rom comes with chevys 1ghz or 1.1 lv kernel pre installed but clocked at 600mhz. The kernel could also be the issue with your wifes droid if the battery life continues to be bad. I'm sure you know..all Droid will behave differently with different kernels..BUT I personally prefer slayhers and jdflgs kernels (running slayher almost exclusively now). Even chevys ULV 800mhz gives me worse battery life than slayhers 1ghz.
