Good evening Fascinate Lovers!

Today, I was calling to my bank to spoke to the rep.
Anyways, when I called 1-800 number, it asked me to punch in my card number or account number. As you know, when you take your phone away from your chin, you have option to touch keypad and punch in the numbers.

However, when I try to punch in first 4 digit number, my screen black out, I had to push power button on the side and I had to unlock the screen then,I was able to punch the numbers but, like 3 or 4 second later, it happened again, so I have to repeat it quickly, push the power button on the side then, unlock the phone and punch in next 4 digit number on my card. I made it though :-( Unfortunately, I had to try 3 more times to get thru this.

Do you guys have any problems for this? I also have same problem when I'm using calling card to make international calls.

Is there anyway to avoid this problems?
Thank you in advance.

What your saying I think is that the screen timed out on you and went black while you were actively striking keys on the softkey keyboard? I wouldn't think that it should do that, the minimum time out for the screen is 30 seconds right? I would expect each strike of a key would reset the 30 second timer?

You are correct, my scrren time out is 30 seconds.
However, while i'm striking keys on the softkey keyboard, my screen went black. As I mentioned above, I had to push the power botton and wake my phone up and I had to unlock then I'm able to strike few number. of course while i'm strikinig few number's my screen when black again.

for some reason the dialer app isnt getting the priority it should be getting it seems....i have not had this problem myself

Well, I think you are right, my dialer is not priority I guess.
So, how should I fix this issue? it is really bothering me and today almost throw out my phone. It will go back to black screen so quick, can't do anything with it.

Maybe some apps are conflict?
Please somebody help!

The fastest way to find out would be to wipe the device and install all the apps one at a time until you see the issue happens again or you can delete one by one. Did you do a Battery pull yet?

My phone has done this a few time. Some "helpful" person in another thread told me that I was too slow, and I needed to return my phone for a dumbphone.

Anyway, the screen does turn black and lock just as soon as you hit the first number. Its only happened a couple times. It has happened to me when I was logging into voice mail. As soon as I hit the first number of my pin, the screen goes black.

I did Battery Pull if you meant take it out battery and put it back :)
It didn't work for me. Today was the worst day, because I had to call 3 different banks :-(

Same thing happened, my screen turn into black as soon as I punch in like 2 or 3 numbers...so I had to push power button and try faster..........

Should I have to return my phone and get the new one? I don't want to take this risk. I already exchange my phone once for call quality issue. Now I'm OK with my phone and I'm afraid that I will pick another phone has call quality issue.

I guess, I'll delete my apps one by one and try to find out.
