I didn't see this question yet. It's annoying that when I download ringtones on my Captivate, it puts them right into my music files so that when I'm listening to music, the ringtones pop up and play every once in awhile. Does anyone know how to seperate the ringtones so this doesn't happen?

You need to create the default ringtone storage area. This keeps the files from showing up in your music player.
Use the default "My Files" app and not "Root Explorer" Create the following path: /sdcard/media/audio/ringtonesPlace the audio file in the ringtones folder.

The same goes for notifications and alerts:
/sdcard/media/audio/notifications/sdcard/media/audio/alertsRetrieved from "http://samsungcaptivate.wikia.com/wiki/How_to_add_a_Ringtone"
