Root best way to sideload on a mac??

hello. ive been reading on different forums on the best way to sideload apps on captivate on mac. ive read about sideload wonder machine but seems ppl have problems... seems ppl r being more successful on pc.... if i were to run parallels then win 7 and try to use sideload wonder machine on pc will it work? im still reading on how to use commands, and terminals and cmd lines and all that :D. im new to android but familiar with winmo phones and jailbreaking iphones. so if anyone can help me or point me to the right direction, it is greatly appreciated! on a side note, i use parallel's and ran win 7 and dl droid explorer to try and delete some at&t bloatware but no go. when i try to delete it nothing happens... so i dont know what to do! lol. im rooted and all. i wanna have sideload next! thanks again guys!

my captivate is unable to get into recovery mode via 3 button combo. so i tried running it through rom manager and install from zip and it show is downloading and all and after phone reboots i still have all the att crapware and everything.... so i gave up! but i use that sideload wonder machine and it works!!! i have to use parallels and then run win 7 and do it from there and it works! just cant flash to stock :p

If you're rooted it shouldn't be hard. Just install cognition :) You'll be happier once you do!

/shameless plug for awesome ROM

Not everyone is happy replacing their entire system with a hacked-up ROM based upon leaked unfinished developer code. Code known to have many issues.

Best not to recommend using a nuclear bomb to swat a fly. There are simpler ways to sideload on a Mac.

Valid point. I wasn't trying to pee in anyone's Cheerios here bud. I was merely giving cognition as an option. There are 2 versions, not just one with froyo. You can use the SWM or you can use some root method that enables you to sideload. There is also the option to change it internally if you've got the gumption. Your call man.

I reccomend being able to do it on the phone that way you don't have to have a computer present. I like being able to download from the net and install or use the comp and install on the phone still.
