Root Updating to Froyo on a rooted GS

Went through it as well today:
- Removed One Click Lag Fix and unrooted.
- Uninstalled every app connected with rooting.
- Updated to 2.2 via Kies (with the help of the registry hack, since it wasn't available in Austria at that time)

Everything works fine, though I had to factory reset the device and restore my provider's APN settings (with APN backup & restore app).
Now running 2.2 JP6

Hope that helps

Can't remember how to remove the One Click Lag Fix... I saw the info when I installed it but that was many weeks ago.
Could you please remind me how to do it?
I believe it is in the MCR app (select RemoveFix.sh)?

Open the One Click Lag Fix application and go from there (undo lagfix, remove ext2 tools, etc.)

Also it doesn't delete any personal data, but it is a good idea to do a factory reset after any flash and that deletes, so I suggest you do a backup and then go ahead and do everything.

I went with the RemoveFix.sh then upgraded the firmware through Kies.
The update was smooth, although I got worried at some point as the phone took a lomg time to complete the reboot process.
My wallpaper has been restored, and it seems so far that all my apps have also been restored. I need more time to verify this.
