This is my first run with BB(Used LFY 1.6, 1.5 and one of the KangedFroyo Roms before), took me a few re-installs to actually get this working because my droid didn't like the different kernels I was putting into it(chevys ulv 1.1, 1.25, lv 1.1, 1.25, finally settled with the lv1.0).

I also had the Market Issue, though mine cleared up after I went to manage apps and clear both the cache and the data. So everything has been smooth since then, till yesterday.

I now have an issue with Twitter updating. Could it be a theme issue? Running the Smoked with Blue theme. Anyone else having problems with it?

Im having serious problems with the phones internal storage that I havent had before. It seems to be oddly low when I first tried the ROM, but I ignored it. Now Im hitting low phone space after updating and installing apps. Ive executed the install apps to external storage function in the bugless beast toolkit, but im not sure if its working. And the majority of the apps under manage applications arent allowing me to move them to SD card (button is blacked out). Why did the ROM cause the internal storage to be so low originally and how can I fix the apps2sd so that i have the choice of moving any app between the internal and SD card?

Having a problem with the screen dimming (spelling). I have it on Auto Brightness, but it's still wayyyyy too dark...any fixes for this?

There is a fix if you read through the thread or go to Petes site. You can also download "Auto Brightness" from the market that overides the settings and allows you to set the auto brightness based on battery % left.

I tried running the fix...but it didn't work...but I did download "Auto Brightness" and it seems to work ok...but we'll see tomorrow in sunlight.

I am new to rooting and installing custom roms and BBv5 is my first experience. So far I am extremely happy with this ROM. I have a few bugs/concerns to mention:

Sequence of events to expose the bug:
1a. when listing to music in music player in the main now playing screen
1b. long press on the artistA to bring up the search menu and do a music search and play another album by the same artist.
1c. party shuffle while listening to artistA and search for and try to do a music search for this new artistB
1d. the music search will return results for artistA instead of artistB

Does that make sense? Basically, when you do a second music search using the long press on artist name, it will bring up results for prior artist.

Another bug I've discovered is the automatic screen brightness will jump from super faded to stock low brightness after you let the phone sit untouched for ~30 seconds. Neither bug annoys me...but they are indeed bugs. I'm sure they've been mentioned already, I just don't have time to wade thru all the pages right now to find the solution.

Okay so I had been using MIUI and UD for about the past few weeks. I decided to come back to BB because I love it, but I don't know if anyone else is having a problem with this ROM running really hot. I have tried a couple of different kernels, and everything is the same. I will give it a little bit to settle in, but it doesn't make me feel well, and may still give a couple more kernels a shot see if it likes those any better.

I've run every version of BB since 2.1, and it has ALWAYS run hot... especially during any attempt to use my browser. When using BB (any version of it), I ran into problems trying to do any work at all online... my Droid would end up boot-looping if temps exceeded 125 degrees.

I've tried every ROM there is to try. Project Elite with a Slayher kernel was excellent. Currently using Liquid Frozen Yogurt v1.7 with a Slayer kernel, and this has been the best of the most current ROM options for me. My Droid runs cool most of the time, and even when it heats up, I never run into a boot loop, no matter how hot it gets. Give Liquid Frozen Yogurt v1.7 a try. I'm running Slayher's 1.2Ghz interactive kernel, and my Droid absolutely flies and is ultra smooth, no lag, and no overheating!

Odd issue here, I have backups of stock rooted and MIUI and wanted to try out BB.
I installed it from ROM Manager, with selecting wipe data & cache, and let it reboot itself completely after about 3 to 7 minutes.

After the second reboot, however, I receive a ton of errors about programs force closing, many of them reference apps installed on my stock install that I never replaced on the MIUI ROM (which I have run for close to a week now). After a large number of these force close errors, I get force close errors for the setup wizard.

If I am able to complete the setup wizard, it will go to a blank, black screen and just sit there. I cannot get to my home screen with this and I am not sure what I am doing wrong with the install.

Any thoughts?

Try following the directions here: [ROM STABLE] Bugless Beast V0.5 Android 2.2 FRG22D - Page 37 - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum.

My bet is that you have backups from Astro and/or backups created by a bkapps (or similar) script from previous ROMs that are restoring on the 2nd boot and creating incompatibility problems. Move those backups to your PC (delete them from your SD card), then try the process again -- make sure you wipe data/cache, system and boot.

I think I found part of the problem, with the way Pete setup BB, the system was installing apps I have not used and have been uninstalled for over 3 months. So every time I was restarting the phone, it keps saying it was low on space, and it would keep installing more apps.

Still working on getting it to the point I can relax and fiddle with the settings, I've been uninstalling apps and restarting the phone for the last 2 hours :p Will update again if everything clears out so anyone else who hits a similar event knows.

The market is not loading anything. I was running fine with this since moment of release but this morning I can get into market but it shows no app. Not mine or the markets. Is the market having problems or it is me? Thanks

edit: cleared cache and force stopped the Market app. Now all is back to normal. Hope this is not a bug that keeps happening.

I also had this issue. I think it was because I accidentally touched my phone before it rebooted when I was loading BB. I reinstalled BB and now it is working great.
