Would anyone else be angry if...

Lol i honestly didn't know this thread would be this heated/contriversial. I just wanted peoples opinions lol. Like i said, i love my droid. It isn't perfect, but the passion won't be either. No phone is 100% perfect. from what i have read the passion wont have some of the issues that bother me about the droid, but i also know that if i had a passion it would have a set of issues that droid doesn't.

Most (insert product here) forums are for people who nod in unison and agree on all things (insert product here). Anytime there is a difference of opinion it usually results in an argument or controversy. I think you brought up a very valid concern that I am sure others were thinking but to scared to post. :)

With today's manufacturing practices, it should be considered that Motorola may for reasons of manufacturing, not be prepared or able to squirt out A855's fast enough to meet a larger, faster demand than they actually expected when they made production decisions.

If they couldn't meet the demand, Verizon would be shrewd marketers to ease the pressure by this marketing thing. Whether or not Moto is the mfr of the new thing they too would rather plan a larger, faster production run of the next device than modify, or re-start a planned and executing production run. Of course niether V nor M would ever wanna admit they weren't prepared for something like this.

Nope.

One thing I am used to with technology. The day after you purchase, you are behind the times. I bought the fastest dual core laptop Dell had in the summer of 2008. One week later they had quad cores.

No biggie - just enjoy the Droid!

I acutally waited for the next model laptop to come out and drive the older ones price down before I jumped....I'm just cheap like that. For the record the price drop was almost 20%.

I had thought about waiting for the Passion but as more info is starting to surface, I'm glad I've got my Droid.

1. As others have mentioned, 1 GHz processor will more than likely be underclocked to keep a decent battery life so it probably won't be much faster than the Droid.

2. OLED screens are nice but tend to wash out in sunlight from what I have read. I love the visibility on my Droid.

3. The latest intel is now saying the Passion will only have a 3.5 inch screen instead of the rumored 4 point something inch. Not much smaller than what the Droid has but still, I'll take the larger screen.

4. No confirmation of an independent GPU in the Passion so it will need a faster processor to handle both jobs if it is lacking a GPU.

5. If the pics I have seen are what it will look like, I will look like alot of other phones out there. I love the look of my Droid, it stands out in a crowd. Some think it's ugly but I love it!

So to sum up my overly long post.....:D I love my Droid and think the Passion is being overly hyped. Just my 2 cents.

monmouthdroid@ agree! I am here to steal the pros and cons of the Droid (did learnt alot) as i'm waiting for launch of the Droid, oops, milestone in canada early 2010.Today,I read that the milestone in canada doesn't come with the awesome Google nav,but with multi-touch.If this is true, then, it's is going to be one the features that made the Milestone a great device missing!

I love my Droid and I will just ignore anything else that comes along until I don't love my droid so much. I have had the iPhone thrown in my face for what, 3 years now? I think I can handle the new phones coming. Since my loved one gave me his upgrade so I could get a Droid, I will give him my upgrade to get the Droid or whatever phone is super cool at the moment.

Haha thats what i do for some products. I bought a laptop the week before vista came out in January 07 cause it came with a free vista upgrade and bestbuy had all the xp running models on clearance.

Same thing with the blackberry i had before my droid. I had wanted one since the curve came out but waited till sprint dropped the price down to $50
