Andriod Market AND GTalk Broken?!

Hey, My Andriod Market is stuck on 'starting download'
I have about 9 apps that need updating!!
I was told that signing into gtalk fixes this but I also cant do that because it hangs on 'signing in'
Ive also tried clearing cache and data from gmail and google services.

I have been on holiday with no internet and come back to this, HELP!
Nexus One 2.2

Thanks in advance guys!

Are you able to install new apps? You might be able to uninstall the apps requiring updates and reinstall them. I'd test this on a random app install first though.

Are you trying to update over Wifi or 3g? Have you tried switching?

Not sure if you have any, but have you tried uninstalling any updates to the market itself?

Thanks for the swift reply,
Not able to install new apps
Tried Wifi And 3G and someone elses Wifi
No updates to Market. :( What on earth could be the problem?

The only thing I can think of is that I switched from @googlemail to @gmail a while back? Could that be it?

That is a good possibility. The market, your apps, etc. are all linked to the google/gmail account you set up on the phone when you originally started using it. You may want to try switching back to the previous account and see if things start working again. If not, you may need to do a factory reset to get things running again.

Switched back myself but still have a problem with the market. Not sure about a factory reset - need to do alot of re-installing and setting up

Well, if you can't do anything else then it is likely your only option.

Woah. Okay so I was clearing all my caches and data from everything possibly to do with google.
And now Market gives me 'Error please try again later' D: oooops.

Hard reset time? :(

You may wish to give it time and try again, but I would say that you've probably reached that point.
