I don't have any intention to moderate a forum. I do not see a need to. If I was right about everything, I would have predicted the lottery, be living on my own island and everything would be great, but sadly, i don't live in this world. Got my Desire HD from 3. Doesn't seem to be branded to 3, nothing on the outside of it and nothing about 3 when you boot it up. Don't have a different network sim to try so don't know if it's unlocked. All internet with 3 works fine tho, i had trouble with my sim free hero and had to put those settings in manually, but this seems fan-bloody-tastic!

Had a guy come up to me from no where and asked if that was the new DHD. He pulled his normal desire and it made me feel like a man

Excellent deal you got there, can not wait for my vodafone contract to expire, and get one on three. Having major issues with vodafone at the moment, and the situation is getting worse not better, so although the offer of one from them is there, I am trying to resist and get one from three, hence the reason for my questions regarding people who have received theirs from three, and can confirm the questions I asked.

I am sorry for asking these questions, it has obviously caused upset with certain posters, so will not bother to ask the questions again.

Seems I will just use the search button until someone else asks the question, as that seems to be the way things should be done.

Congratulations to everyone who is a proud owner of the DHD, and although I love the two desires I have and my Wildfire, I can not wait to get the new DHD, with all the extra features it brings with it.

Yep v proud of myself for standing my ground and refusing their first offer! Just hope it will keep me satisfied to 2yrs coz i tend to get bored easily and have to buy somat new half way through my contract, naughty i know

Same with me, so far this year I have had 2x X10, 1x X10 mini, !x Satio, !x wildfire 2x desire.

Still have the two desires and the wildfire, but the rest have been sold on.

I have been a Ericsson then Sonyericsson user since the mid nineties, but have now converted to hTC, and can not see me using anything else for some time to come.

I used to go for Sony Ericsson and fell in love the Xperia (original) never actually had one and was determined to wait for the X10, but last year my uncle had a Hero and once i played with it, i was smitten and bought it sim free from Amazon. Now on my second HTC and i absolutely love the customisation. I mean i'm not an expert in phones, but as long as i can go on facebook, read a book (kobo), msn messenger and gtalk i'm a happy bunny

@ volvo, (sorry for delay, too much work + too bad cold) no branding on phone, my work 02 sim works in it fine.

Re spencer: I too found his comments a bit abrasive. So, I put him on my "Ignore" like (see user CP, if you want to) and then I don't have to see them, so out of sight out of mind.

The only time I see anything he says is when someone else quotes him- but that *can* be fixed, if the admins care to bother with it.

For me, it is OK like this though.

I don't have anything against him, but I also don't appreciate being talked to as though I am an idiot, so I won't allow it.

Pleased to see it is unlocked and branding free, means if I want to at a later date, I can use any sim in it, and in theory, the updates from htc should come through as soon as they are released, rather than the complete farce vodafone have had with the desires, mine included.

I just hope this is not just early batches that will be like this, and it will stay this way for good.

It may have something to do with the new sense feature, and the fact there was an update from the start for the sensor issue, so hopefully they will all be like this.

@ volvo: I am really not sure about whether it's just the first releases that are like this or all of them.

I am actually surprised that they are unbranded and unlocked.

There are already a few turning up on Gumtree, too.

Doesn't really bother me.

..Anyway, moving on, I think HTC are doing them all unbranded this way as operators don't get to control the updates meaning it won't be a farce like the previous Hero and Desire.
