Buying an EVO 4g. Got a few questions.

I'm currently on a family plan with unlimited data that my parents pay for.

Im thinking about buying an EVO 4g off craigslist so i can just switch my current phone with the evo and stay on my current family plan.

My questions are:
If I do buy evo from craigslist, will my current plan with unlimited data be enough?

Is there anything specific outside the condition and price of the phone I should look out for when buying one?

Worse case scenario I'll have to get a new contract and pay for it myself.
In that case does anyone know what the cheapest plan would be with evo 4g?

I dont make too many calls. I make few to moderate amounts of text. Data wise I would be happy just using wifi.

Any help would be appreciated. Sorry if these are dumb/repetitive questions.

If you add the Evo on the shared plan, it will only be 10$ a month more for the premium data package.

The cheapest individual plan is 79.99 everything data plan.

I don't mean to be a smartass here but this is not exactly true. First Evo is only available on Sprint. Which means you have to get it on sprint if you buy it off Ebay or Craigslist just be careful of the condition which it is in it is a sensitive phone and if abused it will not last. As for the cost for the plan - if you are on Sprint already it will cost you $10 a month to add it to the family plan. I believe all of Sprint's plans have the data and texting unlimited so you have nothing to worry about. Than you will need to pay another $10 a month for the 4g signal. There is no going away from that. I have to say that if your family is on Sprint it comes out a lot cheaper to have the family plan instead of paying even bigger money for having your own.

What family does your family have?

Only Family Plans with Everything Data are valid with the Epic. Any Fair & Flexible family plans, even with data add-ons, will not work.

No, not all of Sprint's plans have unlimited texting and data. The cheapest individual plan would be 79.99 pet month before any discounts. If your family plan already has unlimited data and text, it would be another 10 per month for the required "premium data" fee.

Has sprint changed their plans? I am on an 450 minutes unlimited data for $69.99 plus the $10...or is that how you are coming up with the $79.99 on that plan with insurance and replacement and tax my total bill is $96/mo

As mentioned....depending on which family plan they have and how many phones are on it. Most likely it would only be an additional $10

That it's the 450 everything data plan. There are other more limited plans for non-smart phones. Yes, the way I came up with 79.99 was the 69.99 plus 10. Your 96/mo sounds about right for an individual plan with an evo.
