Problems downloading and updating apps via market place?

I've been having problems downloading apps, and updating apps this past week.

Uk T-mobile branded handset, updated to 2.2 a few weeks ago via T-mobile ota update.

Also followed the noobs guide to force apps to AD, freeing up some extra ram.

Just having issues updating programmes like

Opera Mini
Co pilot
Google Maps

And just tried to install
TripAdvisor

And always get the download unsuccessful message

So far I've tried:

Turning phone on/off. Remove battery
Turning WiFi on/off (also tried different wifi zones (home and work))
Turning 3g on/off

Logging into Google Talk
Going into manage apps, marketplace, clear cache, clear data

Still no joy.

Any ideas?

Cheers for the support guys.

I've emptied and cleared the market cache and market updater cache umpteen times tonight, and restarted several times after each clear out.

Finally managed to update three programmes after clicking stop update/download, and then restarting it.

Over and over and they finally updated all the apps.

Job's a goodun for now.

Cheers once again

May be a coincidence but I've just uninstalled map updates and am now able to download from market again.

I dont seem to have any problems yet with the market here, but for the record Ive never installed the latest Maps update.

Maybe you guys with problems should compare Maps and Market versions installed to try and find a pattern (if there is one).

I have no problems yet using:
Maps 4.4.0
Market 2.07

...although it could just be a random problem with the market

Cheers
