Face it. At that price, the ipad will win with the average consumer.

In fact, I am not fond of apple policies, and I love my android...but for that price the ipad would be in my hands first too.

I'm the tech admin for my company. Moving all day long so carrying a 7 inch phone is not an option. I would like to have the phone option built in but it is not worth $300US.

Glad we have options.

Wonder if the millions of iPad owners want phone option on the iPad?

$600 for the Tab? WOW!!!!!!!

I was all in for the Archos 70 but it looks like it's shipping with 2.1 and that is a deal breaker for me. I'm very dissapointed with the pricing of the Galaxy Tab. Hope T-Mobile does better but looks like the rumored pricing might be true as well. $400 with a contract? Really? No thanks. I may end up getting the HTC HD7 and wait until next year for a tablet.

Samsung could have really hit one out of the park with the Tab... They really could have put a serious bite in the iPad sales and brought Android to new users who then would buy Android phones if they didn't already have one..

The Tab is pretty much dead in the water at the prices that are announced / rumored... Yes there will be some who will gladly pay the piper, but they will be few and far in-between...

After the Holiday's when VZW still has stores full of them and no more room in the warehouse for them, I can see them seriously slashing the price to move out the stock.... I really can't see these flying off the shelves at the announced prices....

Samsung could have hit one out of the park, but instead all they got was a foul tip...

I'm not crazy about the specs for the Archos 70. I like the Galaxy Tab a lot better. Not crazy about the price of it though....

I look at it this way though. I can either spend the 600.00 now and get what I really want, or spend double that buying a couple of tablets that I'm not quite crazy about. Trust me on that one. That's the route I went with phones until I broke down and bought the N1 that I really wanted in the first place.

You are not helping me talk myself out of the Tab.... LOL....

I wanted it since the day I 1st saw it, and now I am trying to convince myself it's overpriced.... I do think it's overpriced but I still keep going back and forth between it and the Archos 70...

The stats / specs on the 70 are not bad and I think it's priced right... If the Tab was $449 I'd probably swallow it and get it.. If it was $499 I'd try to resist it, but it would be hard.... At $599 I am finding it hard to justify...

My problem will be as a tech junkie that if I go to the VZW store and play with it, I would probably leave with it....

Back and forth I go.....

I am very new in this Forum and have been reading a lot about Android and the new tablets to come.

I myself is deadlocked on gTab or iPad. And then I saw Viewpad7 and Archos70...but until now, my compass is gearing towards a gTab.

If gTab will be going for $499US at Bestbuy (just the wifi, sure I can find a way to tether it with the iPhone 4 later), that would possibly bring it up to about $525 in Canada....plus the taxes... I must ask the wife for another $100 (taxes in plus my coffee at starbucks)..oh well.

I read articles about Archos70...seems to be a good buy but the looks and feel also count for me. This looks like a game pad for me (aesthetically speaking).

gTab is still the one for me (not unless it will hit over $600...then iPad here I come).

Not sure, but it will probably have a new android version on it that allows for the market without a radio which is why Samsung hasn't released much details on it.

I'm definitely getting the Archos 70 250GB. They released the smaller Archos 70 today (8 or 16GB I can't remember) but I gotta have all my music with me, so I'm getting the bigger one.
