My Aria was stolen last night, my entire life is in that phone in regards to my customers and contacts. I relatively recently bought the phone, and was still getting used to it, and didn't know how to back it up~

I was told by someone that Google automatically saves your info from my Aria and places in my google account. I cannot find where this would be. Has anyone else had this issue and would know where to direct me?

Thanks for any and all help in advance.

As long as you set up your gmail account on your phone then it is backed up.

If you go to google.com/gmail and log into your gmail account, click on contacts on the left side. All of your contacts should be there. This is where everything is synced.

I had gmail enabled through my phone, however i had the account prior to having my phone. i looked in my contacts section, and sadly i have none there. zero~

so was i supposed to open a NEW account through gmail. or with my prior account was i supposed to do something to get my android contacts "starred"?

An existing account should have worked fine. It should have synced without you doing anything extra. I am not sure why it didn't sync. Maybe it is something specific to the Aria that caused a problem, I know AT&T has done some things to that phone that a lot of people do not like, I don't know if they somehow broke the syncing feature.

a reason it might not have synced is cause you might not have saved the contacts as a google contact? but on the phone instead...? Any chance of that?

I hope I'm not hijacking the thread too much but I have a similar question. All of my contacts are saved to the "phone"(not sim or gmail). Is there an option to save or sync them to my gmail account without deleting the contact and re-entering it in the phone. Thanks
